Mu Ramen and Animo owners Joshua Smookler and Heidy He have received exceptional recognition, including a prestigious 2-star review from the New York Times in 2015. Excellent food , unique dishes. My husband and I had dinner there and really enjoyed the food and service. The owner was attentive and had wonderful service. We tried their mushroom dish it was so unique. I highly recommended this restaurant.

They just keep getting better and better, if that is even possible. The hospitality is out of this world and the food is absolutely amazing. If I were offered an all expense paid dinner at Singlethread or Golden Bear Station, I’d choose Golden Bear (and I love Singlethread). It’s THAT good…no, great!

Butterfly and Ducati are wonderful hosts and made our family dinner special with a very personal touch. Each course was very well prepared with the freshest of ingredients creating a refreshingly flavorful taste on even typical fare — like the bib salad. The pasta is fresh, cooked to perfection and the sauces just right. My only suggested change would be a few more lower price point California wines. Overall — terrific experience and one we will share with others.

If not the best, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Amazing wine recommendation’s , great ambience. Shocked when the bill arrived as it was half of what we thought it would be for the level of food and service. Can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

This is the most extraordinary local bistro with amazing food, service, ambience. The hospitality of Josh, the cook, and Heidy who runs the restaurant is totally welcoming. The food is the best in Sonoma and compares with any other locale. The energy of the place is great as everyone is enjoying themselves and it creates a happy buzz. Simply amazing....
