Approachable sophisticated Pacific Northwest cuisine, simply prepared using the finest regional ingredients and served in a dining room with maritime-inspired design and sweeping views of Elliott Bay.

Goldfinch Tavern is a collaboration between Ethan Stowell and Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Named for the state bird of Washington, the American Goldfinch.

The upscale tavern pays homage to the city’s pioneer days, when taverns catered to lumberjacks and sailors alike, providing a place for travelers and locals to both socialize and conduct business, all while enjoying drinks and food.

Great service & a lovely venue to celebrate a special holiday lunch. We had a window table with a beautiful view of Elliot Bay. Only disappointment: my Steak Frites order came with potatoes that were anything but frites - they were more like a chunky country style diner potatoes - I was so looking forward to the skinny crisp decadent fries that I’ve had there in the past. Alas. Everything else was just right with an accommodating staff & a perfectly chilled Cosmopolitan & glass of Drouhin Pinot Noir to round things out.

Servers are incredibly gracious with children - we come here before the Tiny Tots concerts at Benaroya Hall, and this has become a favorite tradition. Coloring sheets, Lego silverware, color-changing cups, so many fun touches that keep the kiddos happy. And the kid meals are an especially good value!

Arrived earlier and got seated. Ordered grilled Ciabatta, truffle fries, and carbonara with mushrooms along with sparkling wine. Wait staff were not intrusive and attentive . Food wise, Ciabatta grilled was so hard and abrasive . Literally, scoured the roof of my mouth, I tried eating it by dousing it with the balsamic butter provided but decided not worth the effort after the abrasion it caused. I even mentioned it to the waitstaff about the bread been too hard to eat . Carbonara not nothing much to write home about.. on the plus note, it was served nice and hot. Truffle fries were good. The sparkling wine was crisp and yum .

Service was slow, the food was just okay. Honestly I miss the old brunch setup. They keep making changes to cut costs - like the ‘unlimited mimosas’ are replenished by your server (the bottle is not left at the table) but the juice is? For a party of 5 ours were not replenished appropriately. Honestly this is my last time going here.

The quality of the food is a notch up your typical coffee shop fare. The portions were huge and the service was most attentive. Our waiter was wonderful (he even included cutlery in my "doggie bag" and the other staff were lovely as well.

Our server was so so lovely. The food was absolutely unreal. I had the scallops and my girlfriend had the pumpkin gnocchi and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The staff was very accommodating, and they even surprised us with a dessert for our anniversary. I would highly recommend goldfinch Tavern to anyone wanting to have a great dining experience.

We’ve dined here a few times now and it is always amazing. Fantastic food, drinks, ambiance, and service every visit. Always a favorite and very close to Benaroya Hall for pre-show dining and drinks. Highly recommend!
