Goldie’s is an intimate cocktail bar on the ground floor of the Austin Proper Hotel & Residences, helmed by Austin locals McGuire Moorman Hospitality. Goldie’s serves as an elegant and vibrant setting for a posh celebration, sophisticated drinks, or a romantic evening out — open to Proper’s hotel guests and residents only. The focal point of the room is a marble sunken bar, surrounded by a plush array of tweed and velvet seating. Afternoon tea: Very nice but quaint space with mid-century, eclectic, 1920s-esque decor. Service was good! The tea was excellent. The food was just alright, could have used another savory option, and did not accommodate the vegetarian diet well. eg. They opted to simply remove salmon from one of the menu items and replaced the chicken with an avocado toast instead of offering a developed vegetarian menu. The furniture needs replacing as it’s quite shabby and some of the chairs were actually broken! I didn’t feel as though I got the value I was seeking for the cost.

A beautiful room for tea. The food served was nice. I was disappointed by the limited wine list and drink options available with tea. Our server was lovely, but food was slow to come out. Overall, very pleasant.

Wonderful experience, food, value - we travel globally and try tea all over the world. We loved their afternoon tea.

This was an absolutely perfect experience for ladies afternoon tea. The champagne was delightful, the tea and accoutrements were delicious and it was an absolutely stunning venue. I look forward to returning.

Wonderful afternoon tea experience with my mom on from out of town, 10/10 would recommend. Food was delicious and fresh, service was impeccable. Chris was super knowledgeable of all the teas and able to guide us while we tried them through our experience.

This was our first afternoon high tea experience and we absolutely loved it! One person in my party had severe allergies and we appreciated the fact the hostess was both educated and accommodating. Chef Eddie came to our table to get clarification and explain what items would be served for my one friend. She loved all of her selections and the rest of us enjoyed our selections, too. We loved the attention to detail and the presentation. We then enjoyed the hotel bar for the rest of the afternoon evening, which was also a lot of fun!

My friends and I had a fantastic experience at the afternoon tea at Goldie's! The food was delicious, their teas are great, and service was amazing, with knowledgeable and attentive staff.

We loved High Tea at Goldie’s. Warm intimate setting. Great choice of teas and tea cakes. Cranberry glass table settings. Such a treat! Will definitely be going back again.
