Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.

The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The interiors are cosy, with contemporary decoration, terracotta warm tones and a groovy musical atmosphere. Goldies features a noteworthy terrace that fits 30 guests.

While the vibe was good, the food was not what was expected after seeing several video reviews of the restaurant. Disappointing!

Excellent as ever. The food is superb. Fresh, fast and funky. Everything works with Everything else - the charcoal crust on the baby chicken contrasted by the creamy dip runs parallel to the golden crisp of those genius chips dunked in one, or all, of those exquisite unique dips. Hot and cold, moist and charred, spicy and smooth...all unified by philosophy and taste profile. It's really clever. The burnt butter brushing on the bread, steak, chicken...it a gets that feel of love and care, of consideration and expert execution. A little gem, for sure. Great work Team. Especially - Thank you Chef Georgie and Elise.

The food is amazing (particularly the croquettes and the baby chicken) - however it a slight victim of its own success as the waiting staff are unable to cope with the volume of customers. You are crammed in a small space and can expect long waits for food and also for plates to be cleared. Great value for money but just let down by poorly trained waiting staff and the space is too small for the amount of customers they’re serving.

We had read some good reviews for Goldies and we were looking forward to lunch there. Unfortunately we were let down by the whole experience. The restaurant wasn’t that busy, there were plenty of waiting staff, however the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. The food was also below par. The broccoli was completely burnt to a crisp and was acrid to taste. The Sirloin had good flavour, but the portion size was tiny. The prawn skewers were particularly bad, the texture of the prawns were mushy, and for £12, 3 small prawns seems like bad value for money. I don’t normally leave reviews but this visit left a bad taste.

We sat at the counter and enjoyed the theatre of the 3 chefs getting orders out. Even salads were made with love. We're planing a return visit and will explore more of the menu. Staff were great from sitting us down, serving drinks, taking our orders and clearing up all efficiently, quickly and unobtrusively done. Skewers of all varieties, croquettes, baby corn and bread & humus with burger and beef dripping cooked chips were the choices this time. Real tasty food, prepared with love seasoned to perfection and not a bad price...

Great interior & ambience but the food court setting is a bit weird if you don’t often eat in food courts. Food & service were fine, my son liked his Wow Burger. The pumpkin & onions I had were good, pesto was oil heavy. Disappointed that the BBQ corn isn’t vegetarian - we had the peppers and hummus, both so-so, and the challah bread which was good. A fun place to grab some upscale fast food if you eat meat.

Third visit to Goldies but this time for lunch. Great atmosphere and laid back vibe. The food just gets better and better. I recommend the corn with the most amazing butter, the delica pumpkin and the chicken. The chips and dips were amazing. Staff were excellent as usual. Can totally recommend.

We were given a terrible table by the door with a giant pot plant me that was very much in the way. Touching my head. So we moved ourselves. The next people had the same problem. It was ridiculous. Servers were very slow to remove used plates. Disabled toilet was full of cleaning materials and empty cocktail kegs. Very unprofessional. Also not very clean. It felt like a store cupboard not a disabled facility. Poor.
