Bienvenidos, y'all!

Inspired by long days on the Gulf, late nights on the ranch and the colorful creations of our abuela, our family's Kitchen & Cantina showcases the rich foods and traditions we grew up with on both sides of the border.

Nothing matches the flavor of food grilled over mesquite. Try wood-fired Texas quail swaddled in homemade tortillas, jalapeno rellanos stuffed with house-made chorizo and sizzling, family-style parrilladas - huge mixed platters of wild game and fresh vegetables, topped with pico de gallo and queso fresco - a unique spin on Houston barbeque.

Our days begin roasting chilies and tomatoes, rolling fresh tortillas in our bakery and wringing every last drop of Ruby Red grapefruit for cocktails. We hand-grind our own sausage and hand-trim every ounce of meat in our butchery, then anoint it with the savory seasonings and marinades we've honed over generations.

A few margaritas on our patio and you've found your new casa sweet casa.

Our server was fantastic!! Very attentive, even though he had a busy night. The beef tacos al carbon were tender and delicious, as always.

I rated service low but our waiter was fabulous. However, the “children” working the check in desk need additional training or, at the very least, ask their manager for assistance. Reservation at 7:45 pm and arrived early at 7:30. Didn’t expect the table to be ready and ordered drinks and queso at the bar (bar staff was also excellent.) I was told to return at 7:45 which I did and was told that the table we were waiting on had been there 5 hours (?? They arrived at 2:45) and they would text me when the table was ready. I waited another 10 minutes and went to the hostess and she said that they had another table for us and that they had paid. Another 15 minutes and the hostess showed me another table that would be ours since the other group wasn’t leaving. After another 10 minutes the hostess said they were pulling tables together for us (party of 6) and it would be just a minute. During that time I watched a party of 5 walk in and they were seated. As soon as that happened I went back to the hostess stand and she said they were ready for us. 8:31 pm. Imagine my surprise when I was seated at a table for 6. (Thought they were pulling tables together) We pounced on the waiter and ordered drinks and food since we had been there an hour. Drinks came quickly and food shortly thereafter. We ordered and ate and paid the bill in 42 minutes. No one ever said they were sorry for our wait. My family dined at this location as well as other Goode Co restaurants and this was so disappointing.

Great business team luncheon today with 15 in attendance! Jessica, our table captain, took great care of us. Everything came out perfect and on time. Excellent service. Food was excellent. Appetizers, entrees, desserts, etc. I had the Redfish on the Half-shell and it was excellent. Was very loud, but we expected that. At least we were in a corner of the restaurant and the luncheon worked out well. Will return! Well done!

First visit there and for me and my husband’s bday dinner. Our waitress was exceptional, food hot and tasty, and drinks were top tier. We will be back and also trying some other Goode Co. locations

This is a favorite Mexican restaurant of my family and I have been here many many times. The food is always excellent along with good service with a happy smile from all the staff.

We went for brunch and it was delicious. Highly recommend the Bananas Foster pancakes. I also think the salsa is outstanding!
