Jim Goode's love of seafood was born from a childhood spent along the sun-soaked Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast. It was this love for coastal dishes, Cajun flavors and time spent together that Jim passed down to his own kids - and to the plates still on our menu today.

Fresh food speaks for itself - so we don't send ours swimming in heavy sauces. Instead, our daily Gulf catch is grilled over mesquite or lightly battered and fried golden. It's this tasteful preparation that leads to mouthwatering plates worth diving into.

Piled high with shrimp and crab meat, our famous Campechana gets its kick from a special blend of pico de gallo, fire-roasted Anaheim peppers and diced avocadoes. Pair it with tortilla chips or saltines and wash it all down with a cold one. Specialty cocktails, beer and wine served daily. Times and offerings vary by location.

We had a very good lunch meal. The waitress could have been a tab bit pre attentive, but overall she was good.

The service was perfect. The staff is obviously well trained and experienced. The food great and plentiful. We even stayed for coffee to wait out a rainstorm, no problems. I always love this place. I've never had anything less that a great experience there.

Best seafood and service in Houston! I drive from Dallas to eat here. Must try the Mesquite grilled shrimp with crap topper.

The service was super as always but the food was less than their normal standard. My sister ordered the crab cake and gumbo which were both good, just not great. I had the fried shrimp platter with hush puppies. The shrimp were only warm not hot, and the hush puppies were scalding hot which made me think they overlooked the side so the shrimp cooled while the hush puppies were being prepared.

The food was so good and very fresh! I had the shrimp cocktail and simple salad, and my friend had the fried catfish. The restaurant was adorable and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back! 😊

The food and drinks were fantastic. Our server, Maya, was lovely, and looked after our young ladies with kindness and humour 😍. The only, teeny tiny drawback for me is the noise level. It is higher than I prefer for enjoying a meal and conversation. That being said, we could still hear each other, so bonus! Probably the best redfish meal I have ever had.

We've loved this place for years but we think the quality of the food has been kicked up a notch with this visit. The flounder special was just perfect. It's so easy to overcook a flounder filet but this one was spot on.
