                                                                  We were very impressed with the atmosphere and the menu, but 2 of the 3 of our dinners were disappointing. The steak in the salad and in the special was very tough. My salmon salad was very good. Our waiter was friendly but did not check back with us to make sure our dinners were good.

                                                                  I had the salmon salad. It was very good. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Bob, our server was very professional. Only complaint was the noise level. Nice restaurant needs a buffer.

                                                                  Sunday brunch was exceptional. Food choices were great as well as the quality. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and laid back. This will be our go-to brunch when in KC. Ask for Scott.

                                                                  I’ve been bringing kids and now grandkids to Grand Stret for big nights out and the kitchen never disappoints. Food was excellent, unique but tasty and a treat. I didn’t like being sat in front of big TV but I’m sure many require it to keep up with events.

                                                                  The ambience is great and more importantly, the servers are very experienced and they make you feel welcomed. One big plus is that they have their own very large parking lot. Anywhere else part of the dining experience is to first find a parking space which can be concerning. Whatever occasion you are needing a restaurant, dining at Grand Street is always a good choice as is everything on the Menu. There's a good reason that this restaurant has been around for 25 years. Thank you Grand Street Cafe for being our to go place for all these years.

                                                                  We started our meal with cocktails and the Margherita Flatbread. The server apparently misunderstood my cocktail order, but since we had an event after dinner, I chose not to wait for the drink to be corrected. The Flatbread was very tasty and crisp. We then proceeded to order our entrees. One of us ordered the Garganelli Pasta, which was quite good. The other ordered the Tagliatelle. The shrimp were very good, as well as the house-made pasta. However, the sauce was disappointing, watery and having little flavor. We think that the addition of the zucchini and squash, which have a lot of water in them, diluted the sauce greatly. With our pastas we expected to have some bread, which, in our experience, usually accompanies pasta dishes. Our server offered to bring us baguette, which arrived soaked in butter and with an unexpected price tag of $3.00! For dessert we both had the Pecan cake, which was quite tasty. The noise level was very loud and it was difficult to hear each other at times and may have possibly caused the server, who was soft-spoken, to understand my drink order. It may be a good idea for the servers to repeat the order to clarify and assure the order was correct.
