Our chef-driven kitchen serves up a fresh, seasonal take on Italian cuisine into the restaurant’s sophisticated-casual atmosphere. Granita’s bar is an ideal spot and vibe to partake in a few refreshing negroni, some bar snacks and amiable chatting among friends. Granita’s roots are from its sister restaurant, Sotto 13, in the vibrant West Village of New York City. Sotto 13 has become a popular hot spot and well regarded dining destination in the city. If I could give zero stars I would. Worst service I have ever encountered in a restaurant. I have eaten there before and it is usually empty. Tonight they were packed and clearly couldn’t handle it. They majorly messed up the order, which would’ve been fine as mistakes happen, but instead of apologizing or offering to do anything about it they repeatedly lied about it, and the overcharged me and flat-out refused to correct it. We were a party of 6. I ordered a salad with chicken and they didn’t include the chicken and had to bring it out separately. Then they brought us a penne vodka that we didn’t order. They said “oops sorry it was meant for another table” and took it away, but then they billed us for it. Worst of all, the waiter forgot to put my son’s order in, so 5 of us got our food and my son sat there with no food while everyone else ate. By the time they brought his steak, everyone else was finished eating and tired and ready to leave. My son took a few bites but could not eat the steak because it was so late. I said please remove it from the bill and they refused. Didn’t offer to do anything at all, didn’t even apologize. And the whole time the staff lied to us, first they said “oh the steak just takes longer to cook”, it will be out soon (it was not). Then a waitress admitted that her colleague just forgot to put in the order. Then a manager came and said the kitchen overcooked it and so it had to be redone. Then he said that the computer system was to blame. The waitress showed me the ticket and it clearly didn’t have the steak on it… they just messed up. But instead of being gracious about it, the manager and staff were very rude and aggressive and really embarrassing me in front of my children and guests. Then they refused to take the uneaten steak off the bill and also kept the penne vodka on the bill. Extremely rude and unprofessional service- never treat your customers that way!

It was a wonderful family dinner. We had various appetizers - all were fresh + delicious. The short ribs special was excellent - so tender and flavorful. And, last but not least, the owners, Benny + Alore, (Forgive my spelling if incorrect) are terrific. Each brother compliments the other in providing stellar service. Granita is a neighborhood gem.

The service there is always fabulous. Very attentive and everyone pitches in. We turned 8 people onto one of our favorite spots. The food is a as good as the service. A+

Great little restaurant. A hidden gem in downtown Hartsdale. Food is always very good and the service is superb!
