The Grant Hall started its life in 1927 as the Grant Hall Hotel. The majestic four story building was designed by an architect from England by the name of Richard Bunyard. Mr. Bunyard was the most prominent and prolific architect in the Moose Jaw district and one of seven founding members of the Saskatchewan Association of Architects.

The Grant Hall Hotel became a landmark in Moose Jaw and remained an active hotel for over 60 years providing accommodations, and a site for weddings and social gatherings for people around the world. The hotel closed its doors in 1989 only to take a break before beginning a new chapter in history.

Today the Grant Hall Dining Room & Lounge offers a luxurious environment to dine and relax.

Our server Chris was fantastic and funny. Helpful without hovering. The food was awesome. We can hardly wait to go back.

The menu is wonderful, my server was excellent. The free taste test appetizer was a nice touch. The scallop and bacon was tasty. The only thing I would have liked the bacon to have been a little crisper. The pork and lobster roulade was lovely. I would have liked a little morelobster flavour in the potatoes as it was a little too subtle. The facility is clean, beautiful and well kept. I have already recommended this to other people as I was very impressed.

Excellent service! The appetizers were amazing, especially the cheese board. We never had dessert. The main course was very good, but not exceptional. Very much worth the money and experience.

Great experience, we stayed for a really long time and no one seemed to be bothered by that so it was nice. The scallops & the mushroom caps were awesome and so was the caeser salad. However we ordered the scampi and it was not scampi but more like presidents choice precooked shrimp. So that was super disappointing. The cheese platter was very underwhelming with 9 pieces of small cheese including marble? Maybe I just expect more when it’s marked fine dining. All in all I would go back I just would not order those items again.

Grant Hall Dining Room is a gorgeous, elegant place to dine with a lot of history and beautifully restored ambience. The menu is diverse and the plates are very tasty with good presentation supported by excellent, conscientious service. The price points, however, are extremely high for what you get. Nevertheless, if you want a night out in very elegant surroundings and don't mind paying the high prices, there aren't many places left that can match the Grant Hall for old world charm.

For a restaurant in this price range I expect better service and much better food. The waitress did not even ask if we wanted wine with our entrees or check to see how things were. Disappointing.

We love the beautiful decor. It really sets the mood and makes for a comfortable and lavish experience. The food was fabulous - we really got our value as it was delicious and unique food that you can't get just anywhere!

A wonderful spot to go to for a “bump it up” meal. Physical setup is awesome and puts a person in a dining experience. We had the duck which more than met our expectations
