Nestled in the heart of downtown Sarasota, Green Zebra Cafe on Main offers a warm, casual atmosphere, exceptional service and delicious food to share with family and friends. With a focus on pure, wholesome, and locally-sourced ingredients, both of our Brunch and Dinner menus are carefully crafted to reflect our customers dietary requirements.

Our everyday Brunch menu features a long list of all time favorites such as, Omelettes Your Way, Italian Benedict, Our Famous Raw Pancake, and our Lavender-Blueberry pancakes. As well as, organic cold-pressed juices, smoothies and acai bowls.

Our dinner menu highlights both plant-based cuisine as well as dishes with ethically raised meats and sustainable seafood. Some of our most popular dishes are the Salt-roasted Golden Beets for starters, Chicken Veloute or the Raw Vegan Lasagna as Entrees, and our mouth watering gluten-free vegan cheesecakes for dessert.

The server and the service were exceptional. She was very pleasant and professional. When a concern was raised about the salt level of an appetizer, not only the server but two other personnel attended to the concern. I have never experienced that level of efficiency and respect for a customer before. The food was exceptional in its quality and taste. I highly recommend the Green Zebra Café and indeed will return.

Wonderful food and great service in a space where we actually can talk to each other without shouting over the noise or music. We love this restaurant as our pre-theatre go to.

Menu selection and the actual food (beets with goat cheese; barramundi) excellent. Cocktails a little oversugared. Our waitperson was inclined to be forgetful, but he looked to be the exception. Very friendly atmosphere. Noise level only high because of a saxophonist playing. Brunch menu also good: the eggs Benedict can be highly recommended.

Things were a little loud, but the food is of great quality and the service matches that. I dined for dinner 7:15p-8:40p on 25 January 2025.

We really really enjoyed our first trip and will look to come back again soon. There were three of us and the food was fantastic, they were a little busy, the staff was working hard and friendly. My only complaint is that there was someone playing music that was just too loud to allow for my friends and I to converse as we would have liked.

The service was pleasant but on the slow side, almost to confirm the casual pleasant experience. All else outstanding.

We shared the caesar 1377 salad, which we never order because we are vegan. The salad is fairly large, and we would not have been able to finish the main course otherwise. My wife ordered the chermoula bowl, and she reported it was the best dish she has ever had in any Sarasota restaurant. I ordered the root pasta ai funghi, and I was leary of the preserved grape. I think it was a pickled grape, and it went well with the rest of the ingredients.
