In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.

Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. The trails follow a level path that’s just right for pushchairs and little legs where you can say hello to all of the animals, including Oscar the Ostrich.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, from 3.30pm, our restaurant serves from our extensive fish and chip menu only.

    We used to live the fish and chips at Greendale and tell everyone it was great. But the last few times - including today - the fish has been terrible. A tiny, dry haddock filet in a very heavy batter that was so brown the oil must be old. The chips were nicely done and the service was good. But the fish was very disappointing.

    Chose the Sunday roast beef today and it was superb and a very generous portion. The staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely ambiance and perfect treat after choosing our Christmas tree.

    Food and service excellent as always; we requested a specific table no when booking on line and, although this wasn’t available, we were offered an equally good alternative. Thanks and well done.

    Delicious lunch and great service, however after 55 minutes we were notified that they had another group of people booked on the table and we would need to vacate the table in fifteen minutes. One hour and ten minutes didn’t feel long enough to have lunch and catch up with a friend, it all felt very rushed. I have tried to discuss this with Greendale but they have not responded to my message.

    Trying to enjoy breakfast with friends brought my puppy yes he was barking abit but he is a puppy . We got told we had to leave cause people was complaining not sure who ? Wasn’t impress don’t let dogs come in if don’t like it . Shame it wasn’t a pleasant experience staff kept making comments wasn’t relaxing won’t be doing it again .

    Excellent value for money. Fish really fresh and superb chips, not at all greasy. Garden peas taste as they should too. Pleasant, attentive, service.
