Experience the freshest family favorites in Uptown Gig Harbor at the Greenhouse restaurant. This casual, family-friendly eatery features seasonal menus, bursting with local produce, seafood and spirits. Helmed by renowned chef Erik Smith, each dish is created to order, using responsibly, locally sourced ingredients, artfully prepared and plated in an elegant, inviting ambience.

Greenhouse features full lunch and dinner menus, as well as appetizers, small and large bites and decadent desserts that change daily. It also offers a special Twilight Menu, with three-course meals ranging from light to hearty fare, and a Happy Hour menu that is featured in the bar. The extensive wine and beer list also changes daily, spotlighting local microbreweries and wineries, as well as perennial favorites that pair perfectly with the menu options. Greenhouse is open for lunch and dinner; information about private bookings for parties, meetings, receptions and corporate events is available on request.

The ambiance is inviting and cozy with a moderate noise level allowing for good table or bar conversion. The dining room has adequate space between tables, so you do not feel crowded. The menu has an excellent variety of entrees and appetizers. I have experienced a half dozen different entrees and they have all been excellent with nice portions.

The Green.House has always excellent service and delicious food. The staff is really friendly and goes for the extra mile to make our dinner wonderful. They have first-class menus in lunch, dinner -- and their bar Happy Hour and Twilight early dinner. Dining is always a treat!

Five out of six dinners were great. My son thought the clam chowder was his new favorite! Our family had a great time. There was an issue with my halibut, which was surprising and not the norm for this restaurant

Unenthusiastic welcome at 5:15 PM from hosts , even with reservations. High top tables are too small for dinner, they are too close to the wall, other tables and people seated at bar are within reach. The overcrowding of tables inside makes the noise volume too high to have a conversation. It was the noisiest I have ever noticed in my many years of dining here. The reason we stayed on this side of the bridge was the easy parking at the Greenhouse, we will drive to Tacoma for our next Girls Night Out. Felt rushed to leave , we would have ordered another round of drinks if not for feeling rushed by staff. We were in and out in less than an hour.

The salmon Oscar was small, a very small amount of crab as well. No bread at the table. Mh husbands steak was slightly over done and the quality of the meat seemed lower than it should be for the prices. Our two friends happened to be there at the same time. They each had the NY steak and said the same thing - that the food was “just OK.” Their filet mignon and seafood pasta is usually very good. Our server was delightful. Drinks are fantastic. Ambience is stellar. I think it’s just the quality of the proteins.

Excellent place. Only reason I took a star off was the cauliflower starter was a little bland and the veg with entree was a little under-cooked. Apart from that, great food, great service and very nice restaurant I would highly recommend.
