6-10 guests: The Balcony is located up one flight of stairs, overlooking the kitchen. It is available to book at 5:30pm & 8:30pm and is yours for 2.5 hours. The menu features 10-12 dishes for $125 per person with a $700 F&B minimum. Flexible booking time is available for a $1,400 F&B minimum and is based on availability. If interested, please email us at info@theprogress-sf.com.

11-18 guests: The Mezzanine is located up one flight of stairs, overlooking Fillmore Street. You may choose your reservation time without the pressure of time constraint. The menu features 10-12 dishes for $125 per person with a $2,500 F&B minimum. In addition to the menu, our events team will work with you to create the best possible experience.

We kindly request more than 5 days notice should you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within 5 days of your date will be charged half of the food and beverage minimum, and day-of cancellations the full food and beverage minimum.

We were a party of 10 (grandparents, kids and grandkids). We had the balcony table for 10 and it was perfect!! The kids could get up walk around and observe the chefs below through the railings. The food was outstanding, the staff was wonderful and we all said that we will definitely reserve again!!

We had group dining on the Balcony which was perfect because it was off the main dining floor so that we were able to converse easily with each other. The food was very good and the duck and trout were especially notable.

I loved our experience in the balcony for a group a 10. The large round table made it easy to talk to everyone who attended, the service was great, and food was excellent. Would book again for another special group event.

The food was as always very good with creative combinations of seasonal farm to table vegetables. Such a delicious attention to flavors. Service by Thomas our server and sommelier was excellent and despite the very busy restaurant was very positive and very friendly and knowledgeable. My many visits to Progress have always produced the same quality experience. My guests all responded with a wonderful experience loving the food, service and ambiance.

Great team of staff and amazing food made a business dinner perfect. Having a table on the balcony allowed us the privacy to meet and greet along with a large enough place to really enjoy the food. We all particularly loved the pace of the multiple courses and the high quality of ingredients presented in a simple yet powerful way. The dishes were unique, not too big, and very satisfying. From bite sized chefs snacks to the two mains of duck and trout, all were served family style and allowed those with preferences to choose. Lovely experience coupled with very attentive staff. ❤️

We hosted our elopement dinner here and had a great time! The balcony area is lovely and felt private, but still part of the overall energy. Great food options for vegetarians as well.

The restaurant is such a great vibe and the food is immaculate. The private rental process could use some improving but all in all we had a great night.

Had dinner in the semi private room upstairs and it was lovely. Enjoyed the round table with the lazy susan and the food was thoughtfully creative and executed with approachable sophistication.

The Progress was a great place to throw a 14 person private party. We were able to all fit at one table upstairs (15+ requires 3 smaller tables). The food was delectable and the service was wonderful. It was easy to use OpenTable to communicate with the staff ahead of time and they used a Google Form to gather more information about the party, preferences, allergies etc. I had to change my number of guests a few times and it was easy to call and leave a message and get the reservation updated. Thank you The Progress for a great time!
