Named after our daughter Grace, along with the idea that a steakhouse can be graceful, whimsical, and elegant without being dark and moody. What started as a vision to keep the vibe light and airy while letting the outside in, has turned into an Award-winning design of which we couldn't be prouder.
This menu is truly meant to offer something for everyone, with often found steakhouse features as well as a plethora of seafood to truly highlight the best of the gulf and beyond. Prime, Dry Aged and local Wagyu cuts of beef in 4 to 40 oz. portions are available to satisfy any sized appetite. Innovative cocktails and wines from around the world top it all off -making Guard and Grace the place to be for happy hour, a couple's night out or your private event.
Our family, or Ohana, is a passionate group of culinary obsessives who strive to make memories that will last a lifetime. Houston is a special city that has stolen our hearts, and from the bottom of them, we thank you for joining us.

    Guard and Grace is thrilled to host the acclaimed “Second Growth” Bordeaux producer Chateau Lascombes for a five-course wine dinner that features their dazzling current releases as well as two special library offerings from the estate’s cellar. We will be joined by the Chateau’s new Estate Director, Axel Heinz, who is one of the most celebrated and influential winemakers in the world. Following nearly two decades at the helm of Tuscan icon Ornellaia, Axel is returning home to Bordeaux to bring a fresh vision to this historic house.     The service was outstanding and the food was perfect. Matt was very informative not only about the restaurant and wine but of the city of Houston. My guest was new to the city and Matt took the time to teach us about the uniqueness of the city. Overall an outstanding experience.

    The grilled carrot appetizer had a very strong taste of fuel, presumably from a torch. We let it go, but tasted the very same fuel flavor in the broccolini side that we ordered with our steaks. Neither the carrot appetizer nor the broccolini side were edible because of the strong taste of fuel. Our server did an excellent job of taking care of us. The dessert and the port wine were also very very good.

    Our waiter, Jordan, was great. Very knowledgeable in the menu, made great recommendations, and provided excellent service. Also, loved the escort thru the kitchen to get to the bathroom. Very entertaining. Thanks Jordan.

    Johnathan is an outstanding server. I requested a hot toddy and he made it happen. The octopus is always my favorite. French onion soup was so delicious. Expect a giant burger no matter which one you order. I went for lunch with a friend, we had a great time. Valet service is available. The atmosphere is top notch with the service and flavors to match. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. I love this restaurant lunch or dinner.

    Overall the experience and the atmosphere was good. I had the Mac and chesse with lobster, salad and two drinks. That was really good but our tomahawk lacked flavor and was REALLY chewy. That was the biggest disappointment due to it being our main course and the price. Outside of that we had a good time and I would recommend the place outside of getting the tomahawk steak.

    My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Guard and Grace. This was our second time dining at the restaurant. Jose was our server and he was awesome. His customer service was second to none. The food was great, its was fresh and piping hot. As a bonus, Jose gave us warm chocolate cookies in lieu of dessert. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

    Amazing experience. It felt tailored to us even though we made no requests or prompts. Go along with the experience. It’s worth every penny.
