For almost 30 years now we've called Sunnyvale home, serving up traditional Italian dishes all made from scratch right here in house. We love seeing the look of delight on a guest's faces when they take that first bite, and it's hard not to smile when you're enjoying some gumbalicious pasta or a slice of hot, fresh pizza. Aside from the classics, we also serve a variety of signature salads, vegetarian options, and even weekend brunch to enjoy, as well. Whether you're stopping by for a workday lunch, dinner with the family, or heading out with friends for Sunday Funday, we're always here to welcome you!

Gumba's is a long standing restaurant on downtown Sunnyvale's historic Murphy Street with an "old school" Italian vibe. Wide choice of excellent dishes. Great friendly service. It's my go-to place for pizza. Murphy Street is now closed off to cars, so Gumba's outdoor dining area is a great spot, especially at night, to take in the Murphy Street scene.

My wife and I had a great time at gumbas. It's one of our go to spots any day of the week. Great variety of Italian food. Love that many main dishes come with a side of soup or salad. Great taste and good portions. You Have to try it out!

Great downtown Sunnyvale location on bustling historic Murphy St. One of the best pizzas I've had in the SF Bay Area. By far the best in Silicon Valley. I'm from New York City, so I know something about good pizza... You gotta problem widdat? The interior of Gumba's has an eclectic old school retro cool Italian ristorante vibe... checkered tablecloths, wicker vino bottles, braided garlic strands hung from the ceiling to dry... very Godfather-ish and nary a vampire in sight. But, if this is your first time to Gumba's and historic Murphy St skip the inside dining, fuggeddaboddit... settle into one of the outside sidewalk tables, order a pizza, and enjoy the street scene on Murphy St, which is best done at night. Who knows, you might get to see a Mafia hit for the floor show. And, when you do go, come hungry. Everything is served Italian style... large. Mangiare! You're too thin!

Excellent experience. We sat outside. It was lovely with a blues band playing in the background. Good place to bring kids. Food was very good and service was impeccable.

The experience is an outdoor dining location on a crowded “walkable and traffic free “ street where vendors and pedestrians stroll by and makes you feel like you’re in a different east coast locale. The food was average and the waiter was the lone staffer the evening I ate there. I ordered an appetizer and salad (salad was overdressed) and a pasta entree (also too much sauce to pasta ratio) but didn’t taste bad.

Terrible service. The food was not appetizing. The drinks were not as advertised. We asked for specific things and our requests were denied. Total waste of money. We paid our bill and the went somewhere else to eat.

For Father’s Day, we went at 2 pm and they didn’t have lobster or crab. My dad was super disappointed. Quality of the rest of the food was not great.
