Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant is the second restaurant from fine dining chef Curtis Stone (of Maude) and the first he’s opened with his brother Luke Stone. Gwen is both a European-style, chef-driven butcher shop and a restaurant that is redefining dining in LA, with a menu that calls on fire-based cooking techniques. Whether you’re picking up house-made charcuterie, prime and rare breed meats from the retail store, enjoying a feast in the dining room or relaxing with a bite and cocktail at the bar, Gwen delivers the highest standards of quality, taste and service.

On Wednesdays-Sundays, we offer Chef's Carte Blanche 5-course tasting menu for $140 per person (limited quantities available).     Staying at Gwen is one of the most does when you are in Los Angeles. From begining to the end they even look after the smalest detail such as cleaning the table before each course and letting you chose your own knife. Each meal was prepared with the highest quality! Again thank you for this wonderful experience! We will definitly come back from switzerland to visit you again!

    Food was amazing. Staff- Erika in particular- was wonderful. Came in from Chicago and fighting the traffic was well worth it!

    Over rated Steaks came out cold , nothing was done about it but heated back somehow which made all of them over done:( Best part is they charge $2 for a large ice cube in their tequila???? $2 for ice !!! This I have never seen ! Don’t recommend this place , there are so many steak houses in this city !!!

    Solid as always. This was my third time here and they keep doing great work on the steaks and sides. Best steakhouse in the US in my opinion.

    Loved Gwen! My steak and duck fat potatoes were outstanding! My sister doesn’t eat meat and the waiter was very accommodating. Her sunchokes were so good and loved the dill -brought us memories of our Lithuanian roots. I wish that I could remember his name! Very nice Midwest young man who was so good at his job- made us feel at home. Every staff member that we encountered took the time to make sure that we had an incredible experience. Wish that we had seen Curtis Stone😉but was worth the 2 hour drive from Orange County!

    At Gwen they appeared not so into community. There were little things, charges that was puzzling. Parking was $15 posted but was charged $17 on the bill bread was a slice per person with very many orders then they charged extra for the second slice. Not sure why? I guess we should have ordered only one meal. Lamp that was ordered and served had zero meat on it, but only fat, pure 100% fat. I understand mixture of meet and fat but I am clueless as why would they serve pieces with zero meat. I guess they pick and choose who they can stick. Maybe some eat 100% fat but we are not close to that category of people. I find overall very ambitious yet very unfriendly business model
