My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting the Gyu in Tokyo and it was nothing compared to the one in Chicago. They didn’t have many options and we were left feeling underwhelmed. Today we redeemed ourselves! My boyfriend ate every crumb and raved about how this was the best dinner he had in a long time! Thank you Gyu Chicago for always knowing how to treat us!

The atmosphere has good vibes. It was good experience for my boy grilling his own food . Service was okay ,but could be better .Food was great 😀

I recently had a delightful dining experience at a Japanese BBQ spot that really stood out for its warm atmosphere and delicious food. The highlight of the evening was definitely our waitress, Erica, who was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She made our meal enjoyable and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The variety of dishes offered was impressive, and the flavors were truly authentic. Every bite was a treat! However, I did encounter a minor issue with my shrimp entrée, as there was a piece of hair in it. While this was a bit disappointing, I believe it’s something that can easily be addressed. I would recommend that the kitchen staff consider using hairnets or some type of hair covering to prevent this from happening in the future. Overall, I highly recommend this Japanese BBQ spot for its excellent service, especially from Erica, and its delicious offerings. I look forward to returning and enjoying another wonderful meal!

The service was very slow. We waited for a while to get someone to seat us. There was a sign when we walked to to let us know someone would be up shortly. That was 5-10 mintes. The place was probably 25% full when we got there. The service after we were seated was slow as well. The food was great, but they may need to bring more people to help serve their customers.

First time there but also last time. $65 per person to be told you are on a time limit, reminded several times that you can only order 2 pieces a person when you order 3 being with another person. It’s just not relaxing and the meat is mediocre at best.

It was different then what I experienced before. Our table felt like it was in tight quarters with others, a little warm in the restaurant, food was outstanding and the server was very informative and attentive
