This was the second time I was at Gyu Kaku, and both times the parties I came with amhad delays in the reservation between 25-30 minutes. It'd be nice if that were compensated in some ways like other restaurants that can't mert their reservations within 10-15 minutes. All else was good 🙂

I wish I could remember our severs name, he was amazing and we all loved him very much. He was super attentive, sweet, and got us everything we needed fast even though it was busy, which is exactly what you want with an all you can eat timer. Would come back just for him as the food was great too!

Visited this restaurant for Chicago restaurant week. The chili dumplings were the best part of the dining experience. Of the meat we ordered, the Prime Kalbi Short Rib (one of the premium meat selections) was truly the best. Very flavorful. The service was above average: the host was kind enough to push back the reservation by 15 minutes while a member of my party was running late, which was very helpful. However, it was hard to track anyone down to fill up our water glasses (which would have been preferable during a BBQ experience), and the environment was a tad bit loud. As of writing this review, I don't know if I would return.

Disgusting. Had to stand up and leave. All the food stuck on the grill because they are not authorized to have oil sprayed, meat was fat only, chicken never cooked, service terrible. Never again!
