We celebrated our daughter’s 18th Birthday and had an amazing experience. Food was great and service was excellent. It was a lot of fun cooking your own food.

I first came to this place several months ago and enjoyed it so I decided to take my friend there to experience the food and the atmosphere which was really nice and I’m vegan so they had options for me to eat as well

We ordered the Yakiniku dinner for four. Among the appetizers, we thought the karate chicken, soft tofu, kimchee jjigae, and garlic rice were the best. The meal included 11 portions of meat and 1 portion of shrimp. However, we found that the quality of the meats was not as good as before. We have visited Gyu-Kaku many times in the past, but we noticed that the portions were either too small or the meat was too chewy and sinewy. They need to improve and not skimp on the quality of the meats.

Amazing food. We got the all you can eat meal and left incredibly full. I will say our waitress was running around everywhere and we never got our drinks refilled after the initial pour. Other than that, quite a good evening and meal.

Love eating here. My favorite is the Hanger Steak, the cut and taste of this meat is just amazing. Love the apps and mocktail drinks. Great place to go with friends.

Usually it’s a lovely experience at Gyu Kaku but this time we received fattier/tougher pieces of meat regardless of lean cut. Midtown location is more consistent!

Love this place, always our go to spot. I’m just upset they changed the rules and stopped allowing takeout for all you can eat. What happens when people can’t finish the food. Do they throw it away? Such a waste. Also what if the meat isn’t cooked. Do they take it back in the kitchen??? They should let people take the food home.
