It’s was a great time, but our table grill was not working and we only had a 90min time period. Other than waiting over 30 for someone to fix it, we have an excellent experience. Side note the 5pm staff killed it!

The quality of this location has sincerely decreased recently in the past 6 months. I’m a local regular and the garlic fried rice has become drier and less flavorful. Last night I had to ask for extra garlic but I feel like I should have also asked to not make it dry. I also made a reservation through Open Table saying it was a birthday dinner. I called the restaurant a few hours before the dinner started and asked them to bring out a dessert as a surprise. The hostess said they made a note for the waitress and everything was set. When we got to our table, the waitress made no mention of his birthday, was extremely slow helping us, and even apologized for the wait. Then they switched waitresses so that she could go on her break which worried me because I was sure this waitress didn’t get the note about the birthday. Eventually after we paid for the meal, I had to ask the waitress if we could please have the birthday surprise. I was definitely let down, but thankfully my husband still had a great experience. This is not a location I would be bringing anyone back for a special event however. Not only that, but there were extremely loud Dodger fans screaming at the bar. While I understand being a fan, this was not a local bar that I was bringing my husband to for his birthday dinner so again, I was extremely disappointed by that.

2 of the items we ordered were not available. The Garlic noodles and the dumplings. The meat took forever to come to our table. When the waitress came to our table she was not friendly and then just went to break and pushed us onto another waiter. Neither of them asked us if we wanted drinks or even refills on our water instead I had to ask another person who helped us out. When our first waitress got back she kept coming to us and we felt she was a bit pushy to get us to pay and leave. It was just a overall bad experience. We will probably dine at another GYU Kaku for now on.

The servers are so nice, patient & hardworking. The food is delicious - grab your squad and order the Feast for Four! Stars of the evening included the peach cocktail and the cheesy buttery corn skillet. Perfect place for casual occasions, celebrations and lots of laughs!
