   We’ve been to Hanks the last two Mardi Gras and were surprised to see that they were taking reservations this year vía Open Table. We were asked which diningroom we wanted and got confirmation from the app for a table for 4 at 7:00pm. We then were asked the day before to confirm our reservation which we did and then were prompted by Open table again today that our reservation was in effect. When we arrived at Hanks we were sumarily turned away being told they were not taking reservations and had no tables available. We appealed to the manager who told us she would look into our situation but never returned. We will never return to Hanks for this or any other ocassion.

   Overall very good experience. Waiter very accommodating to our friend’s special food needs. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

   Fuimos a cenar y los alimentos deliciosos, a todos los que fuimos nos gustaron mucho;la atención amable. El lugar es agradable pero un poco ruidoso. Vale lo que pagas, que no es excesivo.

   Busy place but the blackened redfish and meatloaf were horrible. Blackened redfish was slimy and sauce was super salty. Meatloaf had more like a wet dogfood consistency and it was placed in a pool of gray sauce. Soup was decent. Main entrees were not. Food was barely touched and server didn't mention it.

   This was our favorite restaurant on our previous visit to SMA, and that distinction still remains. It has a lively vibe and an attractive ambience. Food was tasty and portion sizes were substantial. However, I was disappointed that the was no Etouffee on the menu. Live music would be a great addition.
