   Went for a bday dim sum. Asked specifically for a table with a view in my rsvp. When I got there, they put us in the back in a dark room on different side of the main dining hall. The main dining hall is the one with the view. There was a very grumpy Chinese guy who scolded us for entering the wrong door given that they have multiple doors. I mentioned my RSVP and said I wanted to be seated in the main room with a view and they said my group had to wait. However there were empty tables so they called us after 5 min. Food was okay, nothing was any more special than your regular tiny dim sum places on Clement St. It was very noisy was the main dining hall was not too big. The view of Pier 1 was nice. Overall, the experience didn’t feel any special for a bday celebration and I wouldn’t come back.

   The experience didn’t start well when we arrived on time for our reservation and the hostess tried to seat us in the bar area. We were a group of six celebrating a birthday and the atmosphere was not appropriate. I decided that she was overly dismissive when I requested a table with a view towards the ferry building on the other side. It was not busy in fact it was dead. I had to pretty pretty assertive, but we did get moved to a private area by the bussing station on the other side. I’m really glad I pushed as it changed the whole vibe. We got a very attentive waiter and the rest of the visit was excellent. Food was delicious, they did forget to bring one order of dim sum so only half got them. We eventually got the other half. I’m always surprised when a restaurant does not treat its visitors with respect at the front door.

   Most delicious dim sum! Roast chicken and salt and pepper calamari were awesome! Servers are friendly and very helpful!

   Amazingly delicious food. A friend from China recommended this restaurant to us some time ago, and it never disappoints.

   Our family loved the food and the server we had was outstanding. But the hostess was super rude and unfriendly. Too bad we had to lower a couple of stars due to the lame hostess.

    An incredibly disappointing experience. Service was painfully bad but with a smile. The ambiance left a ton to be desired in this stark open room with zero decor and no music. The food was really good, but not enough to make us suffer such a bad experience again, especially at that price. I truly am so disappointed. I've been wanting to try this place out for years and found it to be such a major flop. A few examples of the problems - never recieved the water we requested upon arriving but we were given 3 teas (for a charge) that we didn't want, waited 10 minutes for our server to stop by and she immediately said "ready not ready ok" and quicklky disappeared without giving us a chance to answer, the menu was different than what's on open table or the restaurant's own website (particularly disappointing because we choose this restaurant with certain menu items in mind for our picky girl which turned out to be nonexistent on the real menu), my husband's app and my daughter's entree didn't arrive until 15-20 minutes after our entee arrived )multiple requests for an update were consistently responded to by telling us the kitchen was backed up which seemed to not be the case as our other food and neighboring tables were receiving food at lightening speeds, this place promotes itself as being a dim sum spot but they really only have s few options, I never got a refill on my drink (and she did nod in response when I requested it) and so I was drinkless the last 45 minutes of our experience... I could go on. It was just BAD. We even stopped someone to ask for help and he looked so confused and didn't know and said he'd find someone to help us and we never got any help. Ugh, I could go on and on. The icing on the cake was the mandatory, automatic 18% tip. I get it for large parties but a family of 3? Rude and more than was earned. A pretty disappointing Thanksgiving dinner.
