Harold Black is a warm, intimate bar that is quiet enough to hear your conversation yet lively enough to keep you talking. A list of house cocktails gives you a range of options, additionally, the bartenders are ready to work their magic if you have something else in mind. Harold Black serves a light-fare menu with a selection of cured meats, cheeses and desserts. Please be aware of a few house rules: 1. We look forward to having you join us and are happy to hold your table for up to fifteen minutes. 2. Your booking reserves your seats for 2 hours. 3. Due to our small size we cannot guarantee booth seating. 4. Our maximum party size is six people, no exceptions, and unfortunately we cannot book multiple tables for one group. 5. Given that Harlod Black is a cocktail bar, the age requirement for entering is 21. To buy out Harold Black for a private event or book our private dining room, please email events@haroldblack.com.

Our server was amazing. We did ask for the music to be turned down because it was exceptionally loud for a speakeasy. Our server turned it down, and then the manager went and turned it back up. The old Harold Black was more of a speakeasy vibe than this one.

The Music was too loud for a speak easy. The music selection could be better for a speak easy.

We had a great experience. The server gave me the wrong drink. When I pointed it out, she corrected the error quickly.

Terrible experience, four drinks took an empty bar half an hour and we didn’t even finish our drink from how bad they were.

I like the concept of this place and I think the drinks are good but the idea that Harold Black is a speakeasy is comical. Not sure they played rap music at 9/10 volume in the 1930’s during prohibition. Might be worth rethinking calling it a speakeasy or changing the tune.

The initial reservation was dinner for 2 at Acuqua Al 2 but we were escorted to Harold Black restaurant directly below the Al 2 restaurant. We were good with the atmosphere, but our server had no clue what he was doing. We had to request a dinner menu and ask about any daily specials or dinner highlights. The server had no clue. When he finally came back around we ordered drinks. He had about 6 tables or so that my wife and watched as he stumbled through. He painfully took our order with simple questions about the menu. Our order included entrees and an appetizer (that we never received). When the meals came, the center was completely cold. My wife’s Branzino was cooked well but the remaining food was some what cold as well. I immediately asked for management and explained the whole situation and we left. As we left I still tipped the bartender as the drinks were great!

Our group was impressed with the setting, the drinks and food; however, the ambience was ruined by the loud hip hop that was cranked up around 7:30. It drowned out our conversation and ruined what was supposed to be a mellow "speakeasy" style bar.
