   We had a great experience at Harvest. Complimentary valet the food was farm to table fresh and the ambience is a beautiful private retreat off the golf course.

   Your Chef has it down! Scrumptious to the eye and our palate! Our waiter Crewe was masterful! Attentive, pleasant, reserved but friendly! The ambience is enhanced by the architecture of the structure. We have been coming here since the days when it was “Ben Brown’s Cottages” and it still holds it allure! Bravo!

   The food was really good as always. However the service was beyond awful. It took FOREVER to get our food (a simple cheeseburger) and the waiter never came by the table the entire time to let us know what was up. An hour or so later it came out and he didn't even apologize for the delay or say why it took so long. Once we were finished, he took another half our or so to stop by the table to see if we needed anything else. I asked for the check, he brought it to the table and basically threw it on the table, again without even an apology for our two hour long cheeseburger! I totally understand that things happen in restaurant kitchens, but the server should update you on what's up and at the very least apologize for the delay. I NEVER leave bad reviews. First time ever in fact. But that service was soooo bad and the waiter was soooo rude, I felt like I had to!

   The cod fish was fishy, the risotto was so bland. The Uni was almost flavorless and the special Uni pasta dish was awful. My husband planned to eat filet and there was not one on the menu. Our waiter is a dear soul but he was obviously over burdened. Our reservation was at 6:15, we left there at 9:45. There was a wedding beneath us so the floor was literally vibrating to the music below. On a positive note, the dark chocolate crème brûlée is outstanding.

   This is my favorite OC restaurant. The ambience is casual and welcoming. The staff from reception and valet to wait staff is exemplary. Their communication between each party is world class. They get you by name, each party congratulates you on a special occasion. But the piece de resistance is the exquisite food. The dishes are so creatively conceived and beautifully presented, each seems like a gift. Tonight my husband ordered the refreshing beet salad, coq au vin, and I had a burger, possibly the most sophisticated and delicious burger ever and dine to perfection (medium rare). We shared the fried brussel sprouts and were too full to order dessert. Cannot recommend Harvest highly enough. What s special evening!!
