I don’t understand when a restaurant on open table doesn’t honor a reservation. When we arrived for a 6 o’clock reservation, when we were informed it was a two hour wait whether you were walking or not. I was also told people were waiting all day and when I mentioned I reserved on OpenTable they said it should’ve been turned off. Well, I made the reservation days ago. Do you think someone might reach out and let you know the conservations canceled. We drove at least a half hour to have dinner only to be turned away at the door. Not likely to go back,,, so many other options in this town. What a shame.

Ribs were fatty and needed more seasoning. Pulled pork, cabbage, BBQ Sauce and chicken were basic. Potato salad needed mustard. Corn muffin has no corn. Hot link was by far the best item on my plate. Macaroni was decent. Loved the Baked Beans and sweet potatoes. Plus, they were outta Brisket and my favorite beer, Michelob.

This was a first visit with a friend. We both had the pulled pork sandwich, This was a good choice, but just average. The cabbage was very good and cooked well. Our server, Imari (I hope I got that right), was very nice and positive. She was the best part of the experience. The seating and atmosphere was a bit cold, and did not invite lingering to talk. I would call it stark, including the lighting. Too bright to relax. I wanted brisket, but it is so expensive! I believe the one meat platter was 22, with a NINE dollar additional uncharged for brisket. Why? I skipped it due to the cost. For a first visit, I did not want to spend 31 on one lunch to taste brisket there. If I decide to go back, I may. Overall, I cannot completely wipe this one off the map, but some aestetic and value changes may help. A Pepsi (no coke!) Was nearly 5 bucks. The atmosphere does not allow that, in my book.
