   Birthday Brunch Review: Hattie's I recently celebrated my birthday with a fantastic brunch at Hattie's, accompanied by five close friends. Our experience was exceptional! Food Quality Highlights ·Scrumptious French toast ·Spectacular fried chicken ·Delicious eggs Service ·Friendly and attentive staff ·Generous gestures: complimentary cake, round of drinks, and extra food to take home!    Not good. They must be short handed, because our waitress had too many tables. The breading on the fried chicken was so salty I couldn’t eat it. Server never came over to ask how everything was,or if we wanted a second round of drinks. To make things worse, the food was just warm. It had obviously been sitting waiting to be brought out. It also took 45 minutes after we ordered. Not going back.

   First time there but not the last. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food, staff took the time to ask about a recipe (and we got an extra chance when the chef came out to greet customers). Portions were generous and we all took home leftovers. A really lovely evening.

   Love the brunch. I wish it was on Saturday so I could do more often. Service was great. Drinks were great. Food was great. Totally recommend.

   Great experience overall. Specialty cocktails were exquisite, the mojito especially! Matthew was the perfect amount of service without being intrusive since my friend and I kept him late catching up! Vibes and decor were incredible! The food was not the highlight, my chicken sandwich was stringy and chewy...how that happens, I'm unsure but the flavor profile was good overall.

   Food was great, the warning about the servers being new to the restaurant business was great. Yams could have been better, tasted like they say there for awhile. Ribs were amazing, only thing to fix was really the music.. there was none, some low jazz music would have suited this perfectly. Overall I will be back again and will recommend it to others.

   Food was delicious, but service was ridiculously slow; I believe there was an issue with their ticketing system. Took an hour+ for food to arrive, and my appetizer never showed. Other tables were walking out due to the wait times. Food was delicious though when it arrived.

    Awful experience. A computer system was down, meaning everything was being done by hand and communication between the bar, kitchen, and servers was nonexistent. This does not excuse the fact that no one even came to our table for almost 30 minutes, we did not have water or cocktails for an hour, and most frustrating no one informed us of these issues upon checking in for the reservation when we still would have had ample time to pivot to a different restaurant. We left after getting our appetizers over an hour after ordering because our server could not tell us when we were getting our food and we had a show to attend. To find out now this has been an issue for at least 2 days, they haven’t figured out how to manage it, and again we weren’t told in advance is completely unacceptable. Hugely disappointing experience.
