   El lugar, comida y atención excelentes. El corte que pedimos no estaba en el término solicitado, pero el mesero rápida y amablemente se ofreció a cocerla más en el momento Excelente servicio.

   I hate to say it, but this restaurant will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. Despite the elegant ambiance and prime location clearly designed to attract a sophisticated clientele, the food fell far short of expectations. We started with the Alcachofa Crujiente, which turned out to be canned artichoke hearts dripping with oil. One oily, sour bite was all we could manage. They claimed the sourness came from the mayo piquín sauce, but we had tasted the artichoke without the sauce and found the same unpleasant flavor. Thankfully, our waiter Alberto replaced it with a boiled artichoked. It wasn’t great, but it was an improvement from the original. Next, we tried the Croquetas de Jamón, which were decent. They ended up being the best dish of the night by default. We also ordered the Tapas de Hongos, consisting of mushrooms on bread. The first batch arrived burnt to a crisp, hard, and blackened. When we pointed this out, Alberto agreed they were overcooked and had them remade. The second attempt was much better, but it left us wondering how the kitchen deemed the first acceptable to serve. Lastly, the Pasta Orzo arrived topped with Jamon shavings and white truffle oil. While we appreciated the choice of pasta, the flavor was uninspired, consisting primarily of butter and salt, reminiscent of instant mac and cheese. The salt level was so overwhelming that we physically recoiled after the first spoonful. While Alberto did his best to amend the dishes, when he was busy with other tables, none of the other waiters, including the capitán, stepped in to assist. We had to flag waiters down multiple times to re-request the wine and dessert menus, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. While we appreciated Alberto’s attentiveness, the overall experience left much to be desired. We will not be returning and hope the restaurant takes feedback seriously to elevate its food and service to meet the standards of its ambiance and clientele.

    We had an amazing experience at Hatxa. Service was pristine, including a welcome drink and when my 2 yr old son started crying because he could not take the popsicle from the drink, they brought him a tiny popsicle and the kids menu presented in a dinasour egg and cheered him up. The food was so delicious - we had some tapas (guacamole, shrimp skewer, papatas bravas and h croquetes - the best) and finalized with a paella that wS out of this world - one of the best I have ever eaten! And then the dessert - oh my god! Lotus cookie cheesecake, so delicious. We loved everything in this place. Music volume could be a bit lower but it was ok.
