THE FINAL SIN Wednesday February 26th Aura Hope & Tom MJ are bringing CATCH 22 to Hausu for one night only (for now) Catch 22 is the dream child of Aura & Tom thought up in their time working at Super8 over the last few years and collaborating on the cocktail menus for events. Holly MJ and the gang are cooking up a whole new menu for the night, here’s some of the dishes we tested yesterday… Chamoy Glazed Monkfish Skewers. Smoked Tomato, Stracciatella & Salsa Matcha. Scallop, Chilli & Black Lime Butter, Blistered corn. Yeah, you heard right. There’s also talks of tacos but we’ll give you a sneak peak of those next week. Our girl Aura is moving to Mexico in a couple of weeks and we thought it would be rude to A. Not throw her a wild leaving party and B. To not give you all the chance to experience the rainbow selection of stupidly tasty cocktails these two make. Rhubarb Tequila Sour, Corn & Whiskey Soda, Banana & Coconut Daiquiri just to name a few 🫠 The one and only Harri Pepper (absolute legend) will be spinning vinyl b2b with Chris Himself from 8-12. Join Melissa Thompson and Atsuko Ikeda for a one-off special feast at Hausu. The chefs will cook a dinner on Sunday, March 2 at the lauded Peckham spot, featuring a delicious menu reflecting their Jamaican and Japanese backgrounds. Seating times @ 5pm, 5.30pm and 6pm at £60pp with all profits going to charity. Please inform us about your choice of main at time of booking, or if you are choosing the plant-based menu option. And inform us of any allergies - unfortunately, due to the nature of the event and menu, we cannot cater for soya or sesame allergies.

Nearly every dish was completely delicious. There was just one plate we weren't so keen on but it didn't detract from our enjoyment. Really attentive service and buzzy atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Lovely waitress & amazing food! They had run out of 2 things 1h into service which was a bit disappointing but a testament of how good food was! Highly recommend!

Food was great, even though a few of the recommendations were sold out and we had an early sitting. Service was good but I think they fell behind with clearing tables once it was a full house. Overall I would recommend and go back for seconds as drinks and food was delicious 😋

I was really disappointed because I had hoped this could become my go-to spot, especially since it's only 5 minutes from my place. I booked a table for four people two weeks in advance, but when we arrived, we were seated at the edge of a large table with another group of four on the opposite end. I've never been seated like that anywhere else. The person sitting next to me couldn’t even speak to the person sitting farthest away from them. While the music was great, it was so loud that it made it impossible to hear anything. Towards the end of the evening, we noticed a vacant table and asked if we could be moved so we could sit across from each other like you would expect at any normal restaurant. For the prices they charge, you’d think they’d at least provide proper seating. I definitely won’t be returning—I'm still baffled by the seating arrangement.

Truly excellent, innovative food. Have been three times already. The cocktails are incredible, the vegetables are cooked beautifully and the meat and fish is a delight. Well happy it's opened up near me. Great service too, and surely the best restaurant toilets....ever? I'd love for them to stock Eko Brewery beers. It makes sense given they're neighbours, and a few beers were out of stock when we went. So this would be a perfect solution....

There were 4 of us for our monthly 'supper club' where we try local interesting restaurants, and we thought Hausa was fantastic. Every plate was interesting and full of flavour - not a single dud plate. Service was brilliant - very friendly and helpful. Interesting wine selection. We will def be back!

A worthy successor to the Coal Rooms. I'm not normally a huge fan of small plates, but here it works well. The oysters, and the sesame prawn toast were particularly good, and the bread from Toad bakery is delicious. Very nice friendly front of house staff
