De la part des éditeur·rice·s d'OpenTable: Grâce à son héritage suédois et éthiopien, le célèbre chef Marcus Samuelsson offre aux New-Yorkais un lieu fusion innovant, axé sur les fruits de mer, qui ne pourrait émaner que de lui. We ordered breadbasket tuna tartare and salmon for the table. All excellent! We also loved our main dishes- pasta fish and mushroom curry. Our waiter Axel took great care of us!! Interesting food in an interesting space!!

The menu was ecclectic. Highly recommend the blue cornbread, tuna tartare and the wild mushroom curry. We tried several of their cocktails. Favourites were Express Yourself and Hav & Martini. For a large restaurant, it was surprisingly quiet. Servers were attentive. Definitely recommend.

This place is spectacular -- a true hidden gem. My wife and I honestly didn't know what to expect from Swedish/Ethiopian fusion (!), but we were intrigued enough to try it. Now we can't wait to come back. The flavors were amazing and unique. We shared cornbread, BBQ cauliflower, mushroom curry and a very generously-sized half chicken. Everything was cooked to perfection and we savored every bite. The service was excellent -- friendly and attentive. The ambiance is fun, modern, upbeat, comfortable and not at all pretentious. Prices are very reasonable for NY. Hav & Mar isn't just our favorite Swedish/Ethiopian restaurant, it has become our favorite restaurant in NY.

Delicious, creative food. One dish came cold and was quickly and apologetically replaced. Cocktails were exceptional too. Loved it!
