    Overall we got a bad feeling here . We had a reservation for 4:30 and were told immediately we had to be out by 6:30 because our table was reserved by someone else at that time. We were seated by the side door which was cold, we asked to be moved to another table and then were told we had to be out by 5:30 because that table also was reserved. I could see if we were walk ins but we did have a reservation. I doubt we’ll be back for a very long time if ever.

    Service was great. Waitress attentive and accommodating to party that had some stragglers getting in. Comfortable booths that provided sense of privacy even in a bustling restaurant. Food was well prepared, all had food to go given generous proportions. Everyone loved the corn dip appetizer. Chocolate mouse birthday cake with sparkler for birthday was nice touch.

    The food at this restaurant is beyond excellent. Wide array of appetizers. Staff were so friendly. Great, hip atmosphere. Seared hanger steak, shrimp and grits, Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Steak Tips…all top notch. We’ve been in Hamden 2 days and ate there twice because it’s so good.

    The chicken sandwich was supposed to be chicken breast and it was boneless chicken thighs. That were absolutely disgusting.

    This was our second time at Haven. Our first time was over the summer in the Biergarten and we had a blast, so we decided to try out the indoor seating this time. We had a large group and our waitress was very patient with us and efficient. The autumn sangria is amazing and fried pickles are a favorite. The food is extremely good for a “craft beer” place and they have a wide variety of other cocktails for us non beer drinkers. We will definitely be back again.

    Food quality not what it used to be. Order came out wrong. Drinks were slow to arrive and were missing an item. Just not a good experience anymore. Very disappointed.

    Great food and beer. Super busy night. Server was not driendly and seemed stressed. No water. Very party-like atmosphere. Lots of college students.
