Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

                                                                                      Great food as expected but restaurant was dominated by an incredibly loud group of diners. Waiting staff picked up on this yet continued to sit families and couples/smaller parties right next to the group.

                                                                                      Got there 20 minutes early and they were happy to seat us straight away. Service is excellent, the food came quickly and tasted great. It was my finances birthday and I had stated that on my reservation, and I did not have to remind the waiter Manuel. He was excellent. Ambience is elegant.

                                                                                      First visit to this restaurant to celebrate my 60th birthday with work colleagues and couldn’t fault the service and attention. The food was delicious and as a group of 5 we were given a round table so everyone could talk to each. Can’t recommend enough and will be back!

                                                                                      First visit to Hawksmoor, tempted by their lunchtime offer. Not overly impressed, first steak was so well done (we'd asked for medium well) it was rubbery, we sent it back. It took 30 mins from order time for first steaks to arrive, another 25 minutes for replacement steaks to come. They were better and the staff were apologetic but not attentive. I'll be sticking with Blacklock.

Busy on a Tuesday which gave its great ambience but maintained the service level. The special January menu made it really great value. This is my favourite Of the Hawksmoor chain.

                                                                                      I love the food even though and even though there’s only one vegetarian option it’s delicious. The bar downstairs has a cosy, art deco American feel with large booths to fit everyone in. The restaurant has a buzzy feel and even though it was busy the service is impeccable; as always.
