Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

The festive season at Hawksmoor is all about going big. Sharing steaks. Magnums. All the sides. We know some of you like to make a little space for healthier choices in the new year. So, we’re easing you into 2025 with a lunch option that’s good for the body, mind, and bank balance. For January only, enjoy a lean Rump steak and a virtuous side – English lettuce salad, Spinach, Sweet potatoes or (no judgement) indulge with our Beef dripping chips or Caesar salad – for £19.50.

This restaurant is so very deserving of the 5 stars I have rated it. Everything we tasted was truly sublime and the service was just as great. Definitely one of my favourite restaurant experiences, I will be back!

With the pleasure of dining at Hawksmoor Wood Wharf to celebrate a special birthday, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The porterhouse was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The side dishes complemented the steak beautifully, each one thoughtfully prepared with attention to detail. The desserts were a highlight as well, particularly the indulgent chocolate plate that arrived with a candle, a lovely touch to make the evening even more memorable. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to make the celebration feel truly special, showing genuine care and attention to every detail. Hawksmoor Wood Wharf really knows how to deliver a top-notch dining experience, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to enjoy great food in a welcoming, professional setting.

This was my first experience at a Hawksmoor, probably because I am a vegetarian but as I was dining with 3 meat eaters I thought I would give it a try. Right from the greeting at the door to the delivery of the bill, the service was top notch and well informed. Even when a waiter accidentally tipped over a glass of wine, the main host delivered a carafe of wine to replace the loss. The view was amazing, the atmosphere buzzing (Tuesday night) and the food was delicious. I had two starters which were veggie and gluten free and either one would have been a good main course. I have a,ready booked my next trip.

The starters were amazing, my partner & I both opted for the Rump Steak which we asked to be cooked medium, it came more well done & rather dry, when asked how our meal was & we explained the reply was oh I’m sorry & was left at that, I wouldn’t mind so much was the bill came to £198 for the 2 of us which isn’t cheap
