   We had the set Christmas Day lunch. 5 courses for £85 plus nibbles and mince pies and coffee. The food was excellent with the portions just the right size. Two of us (of four plus two children) had the wine flight of quality wines - very good value. Sadly they are shutting down but there is another Kutchar restaurant in Beaconsfield (Riwaz) I can recommend.

   Every mouthful of every dish was delicious. The vegetarian options were super and the set Xmas menu was excellent value. The service was friendly but slow - our meal was over three hours long for just three of us and our 7 year old was getting very restless. Ambience was quiet as the tables were spread across multiple rooms but it filled up a little after a couple of hours.

   Following a discussion with the waiter we shared two starters- the beetroot and the vegetable fritters which worked very well together. The tandoori prawn dish as a main course was excellent and the desert of pistachio and mango ice cream rounded off a perfect meal. Service was excellent and staff friendly and welcoming.

   Creative and delicious food is always assured at Hawkyns. The staff are so helpful and always advise us well. We are so lucky to have them in Amersham.

   5th time visiting Food always great but the decor is very underwhelming. Needs much more decadent look to match food rather than wooden basic chairs facing a wall full of cobweb and a sad dead plant. :(

   Good selection of authentic food and drinks. We particularly liked the chicken tikka massala and the date pudding, and the Cobra lager.
