Most dishes lacked flavour and were poor value for money. The morcilla was utterly bland and the romesco sauce was insipid. A pinch of salt would have improved some of the dishes but not enough to make us want to return. My wife is Spanish and thought the food was in no way authentic

Great food, fantastic service and good drinks menu. Perfect for a pre theatre dining venue.

They ignored us for 45 min before taking our order. Food was meh. We asked for water and they brought us an 11 dollar bottle rather than tap. I used my water bottle under the table because we didn’t have enough water and they disappeared.

Good choice of starters, tapas & mains. Limited GF and/or DF options, but good sized serves. Happy hour 5-6pm only for alcohol! Paid full price for mocktail while friends had 50% off on alcoholic drinks. Lovely night to sit outside - low tables and chairs made for a relaxed evening. Two seater lounges need deeper cushions for back support.

Heno and Rey is a huge restaurant. It was our first time there and I was feeling quite excited about our dinner. We chose the Madrid Menu- maybe we should have just chosen individual dishes - there was way way way too much bread. It came with Tomato bread (ours was not hot or even warm and soggy (not sure if it's supposed to be) then came the cheese/salamis/dried fruit with more sort-of toasted bread (once again not hot) I think they should have ditched the bread for crackers or even fresh bread. The fried potatoes was the highlight. Squid was ok - one of us four diners thought it was only so so. The chicken was good, salad was a bit oily. The Cinnamon Churros filled with chocolate should have had a side dish of more chocolate to dip and they weren't very cinnamony. The staff were pleasant enough but did not take the used plates away very quickly. All-in-all I was very disappointed.

Despite being very busy with the pre-theatre crowd, service was efficient and very friendly. We enjoyed the tapas, good depth of flavours, particularly the albóndigas and chargrilled bread. Not so sure about the empanadas which reminded us more of curry puffs than traditional empanadas. Still pleasant though.

We enjoy going to Heno & Rey before going to an event at His Majesty’s. We find it convenient for parking. We enjoy the tapas style of eating, & particularly like the Heritage Tomato salad & the Patatas Bravas. A great way to start our night our 1

The food was exquisite, the service staff were friendly, patient and helpful. A really good experience all round.
