   Excellent sushi and service. We got the classic omakase and they were able to accommodate Gluten Free diet.

   We really enjoyed our dinner at Henshin. We opted for the Premium Omakase (they also have regular a la carte items). The food was amazing. Every piece of sushi that we ate was fresh and the flavors of each piece of fish really shined through. Some highlights for me include the futomaki roll that was loaded with fish and a drizzle of butter that wonderfully complementing the fish. The wagyu and unagi nigiri were also flavorful. The locally caught red snapper carpaccio on the seaweed and cucumber salad was also delicious. All the nigiri were well composed with some nice flavor surprises. When you don't need any soy sauce with your fish, you know you're in good hands. The staff were friendly and knew their fish. We were waited on by Head Chef Dani. Service was attentive and pleasant. The restaurant itself had a classy and unfussy decor with only 6 or 7 tables and a few seats at the indoor and the outdoor counters. It's located in the quieter part of Sayulita, away from the very touristy part of town. The food is solid. I would go back again.

   Amazing. The food, service….all of it. Chef was so fun and engaged with us, made the experience even more amazing! We did the premium omakase, so much food, great value and excellent quality. Thank you Chef, can’t wait to come back!

   Pretty, modern and super clean place. It is out of the craziness of Sayulita center. We got there on the tail end of the service so there wasn't too many customers left and the staff was so friendly to us. The chef took the time to let us in on some of his training and how he was preparing everything he was cooking for us. The wagyu nigiri and the eel nigiri where absolutely incredible. The wagyu was prepared with truffle oil and the eel with a miso glase, just jaw-droppping.

   Good quality ingredients, sub-par execution given the price. Rice was mushy. Server got one of our order’s wrong and then had an attitude about it the rest of the evening. To charge a price like that for omakase, the entire dining experience must be solid. Fine dining fail. The bathrooms were shared outside with the rest of the hotel and rolled ice cream place, no soap, no hand towels. I think the mango mochi was the best, but then the sever did not know what was inside of the mochi filling when I asked. The sushi spot in town, Takao, is much much better.
