Whats this Leawood mgmt throws out existing Shawnee mgmt including Mark existing mgr & Gustavos a longtime member of the Shawnee staff. Bad move corporate CSuite !!! Not sure if I and friends will darken your doorstep again.

So, I quit going to Hereford House about a year after Covid due to the poor service and poor meat quality. The prime rib was terrible then and I associated it to possible lack of patrons and that the prime rib probably sat there all day. Well, let me tell you this, that wasn’t the case. I happened to look at their website site and noticed that Mondays are 1/2 off prime rib days. I thought to myself that there should be enough people going for that, that the prime rib won’t sit all day. Well, three of the five of us ordered the prime rib and three of us fought to just cut it. The meat was so tough it was hard to eat. Our table took an hour from when we got sat to when we were served. That’s unacceptable. The waitress did not do a great job keeping our glasses full and all we had was water and one tea. We will not be back. It is so sad that a once great experience has turned into a trip to Applebees.

We always enjoy the food and drinks. While not being big steak people they are so many options for us. The Salmon is delicious and I can not say enough about the meatloaf. Classic comfort food with great service. What more do you want?

We went for out 21st anniversary. The staff was wonderful. They were polite attentive and helpful. Our steak were over cooked but all the food tasted wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Overalls experience was -A. Food exceptional, but the service was mediocre. Our waiter may have been OVER worked as every time we saw him he was running by and had to flag him down to get water, rolls, etc. Not personable at all. I had reservations and listed that it was our anniversary, and while other servers asked if people were celebrating something special, or engaged, ours simply did not have any time for one on one interaction. I wanted to do something special at the end if he had asked but our interactions were always literally no more than 20 seconds.

It took almost 2 hours to have a baked potato and house salad in the bar area. I’ve never experienced this before. It’s usually a nice, quick dinner when I’m in town. The food was good once it arrived, and our server was very nice, but that’s just too long to wait for what should have been a quick meal.
