Hibernian derives from the Latin term Hibernia, which means “one who comes from Ireland” or “cold, wet land.” The Hibernian Pubs were aptly named, as we wanted to bring a wee bit of Ireland to the Triangle. The Hibernian Restaurants & Pubs celebrate the old world flavor and the new vibrancy of Ireland. Carrying on with Irish tradition, we offer an atmosphere that infuses the alluring and relaxing nature of an authentic Irish social club and the warmth of a Gaelic home kitchen. All of the locations bring the traditional Irish pub experience to the Triangle. Our dark wood interiors, full of cozy nooks and beautifully sculpted bars will transport you into Ireland. We proudly cater to all walks of life here in North Carolina. On any day you will find families, friends, sports fans, and professionals who are all visiting us to talk, debate, laugh, drink and eat. Hibernian Irish Pub & Restaurant at 8021 Falls of Neuse Rd in Raleigh was a great first-time experience for us. While we’re no strangers to the local Irish pub scene, this spot quickly became a favorite. From the moment we walked in, the energy was warm and welcoming. The staff was professional, friendly, and clearly loved what they do. Our servers, Rob and Jordan, were outstanding. Attentive, engaging, and full of personality. They made sure our experience was the best. The food is solid. The spicy chicken sandwich packed a nice kick, and the house pub burger with hearty steak fries hit the spot. We finished with the Guinness mousse, which was supreme. Their Super Bowl party on the horizon and what’s sure to be an epic St. Patrick’s Day celebration, we’ll definitely be back to Hibernian. Great food, even better service. They nailed it.

Very nice restaurant with good vibes. Can be secluded off and it was nice

We had a reservation for 7:00 p.m. however we had a change in our schedule and asked if we could arrive early. The restaurant did accommodate us but our table was very small and in a noisy area in the bar. Otherwise, very kind staff, great service, excellent food and great prices!

Was good food on a busy night, although a little noisy. Will definitely go there again.

We LOVE Hibernian and have been meeting friends there for over 20 years. Excellent location, menu selection, quiet, cozy pub. Have noticed a decline sometimes w service and food. Hopefully it will continue to be a staple venue in N Raleigh for another 20 years.

We love Hibernian and go there often. The turkey dinner was average, and it would have been nice if the ham was offered also.

This was a great choice for Thanksgiving. My brother had traditional turkey fare and I was able to get a burger. We had football on one screen and the dog show on perfect. Even ran into some friends. Perfect Thanksgiving!

Food is very delicious. Our party got a little bit of everything; all was happy and gobbled their food up! Service was great. Ambience and decor is so cool. We’ve been here once before a couple of years ago because we were in the area. We drove an hour back to celebrate my son’s birthday this time. Absolutely recommend for a laid-back, cozy meal!
