This magical Edwardian building has been transformed to a beautiful bar, restaurant and private room where we hope to deliver to our customers an experience you won’t find anywhere else in Newcastle.
Join us to dine in our elegant brasserie which aims to serve classic dishes, including a generous Sunday lunch, using the very best ingredients with plenty of flavor but no fuss or in the bar for some light bites and fantastic drinks curated by a team of some of Newcastle best mixologists.
Above all we want you to relax, enjoy the music and feel at home here at Hibou Blanc.
Please note our bar operates on a walk-in only basis, and you can book our main restaurant to enjoy both our lunch and our a la carte menu. When joining for Afternoon Tea please state this in your booking notes.

It's a beautiful venue and definitely one I'll go back to. It's classically chic without being pretentious. All staff dressed in very smart uniforms. I went for Sunday lunch today. Greeted as soon as we went in and were told to wait at the host station to be seated. Though there were staff around, it took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us. We were promotly seated in the restaurant. 2 course for £30. Starter options are rather limited, did expect more or at least better options, decided on a main and dessert. Service was second to none. I opted for the beef, and my friend opted for the chicken. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Portion size was perfect. You get a side of green vegetables, which initially looks small for two, but it's just the perfect amount. They were cooked extremely well with just the right amount of crunch. Not mushy at all. My friend is gluten free, so we were limited for options on dessert but we both selected the trifle and creme brulee to share. They were divine. Finished the meal with an Irish coffee. I understand that certain places are unable to guarantee no allergen contamination but I do think they could offer more for GF. Just taking away certain items with no offer of an alternative yet charge the same price is a little unfair but this is not the only venue that does this. They did offer GF gravy which was good. Along with a large bottle of still water the bill came to just over £80. On the more expensive side yes, but the food and service was worth it.

This bus a lovely restaurant. The food was excellent, the staff were great and the service was brilliant. The menu was a fixed price for 2 or 3 courses and the choice was amazing. Good wine list , lots of choice and reasonable price. Great cocktails too.
