Hide & Seek is a speakeasy restaurant located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. We provide our guests with an elevated dining experience, marked by craft cocktails and culinary gastronomy. Our menu is seasonal and world inspired, with dishes designed for sharing.

Our restaurant is hidden in plain sight. If you're looking for us, start by entering Bonnie & Clydes and you're doing just fine (entrance on 600 South directly across from the Grand America Hotel). We have dedicated parking located inside the 6th & Main apartment building, as well as street parking in front.

Inside you'll finding our host for the evening who will get you checked in and seated for an unforgettable dining experience.

Food was excellent. A little cramped but that may have only been because it was Valentine's Day. Highly recommend for date night.

We really loved this place for Valentine’s Day. I was not expecting a fixed menu and it was quite pricy but such great food so we thought it was worth it. Will definitely go back.

We had such a fun dining experience at Hide & Seek. We went there to celebrate my birthday and the atmosphere was so fun. Joshua was our waiter and he was attentive and informative about the menu and any questions we had. The food was amazing and the presentation was impressive. We did the candy land dessert. It was worth the price, just for the presentation and art of the chef.

I actually wanted to like this place. Our evening started by being chastised by a bartender for entering through the wrong door. The highlight of the evening was our server, Paula. We sent the soup back because it was cold. The lamb was ordered med rare and came out medium to medium well. We didn’t bother sending it back because by that point we had no confidence in the chef’s ability to control his kitchen. Just three examples of the numerous missteps one should not encounter from a restaurant trying to play at this level. Overall I’m glad we went but I wouldn’t go back.

The first 30 minutes of my experience had me a little worried. I got a call from the restraint a few hours before our reservation asking to move it back 30 minutes so my party if 3 could have a "larger" table. We arrived and still had to wait an additional 30 minutes and by the time we sat down we were starving. The table we were sat at was one of the smallest in the room. However, as soon as the food started coming out we quickly forgot about the delay in seating. The potato bites and popovers to start were welcomed and delicious. We ordered the steak tartare, ravioli, and scallop ceviche to start. The scallop dish was the star of the show but all were great. For entrees we had the filet, short rib, and kings crown lamb. All were amazing with the lamb being our favorite. We ordered the eclair for dessert and the orange sauce and ice cream were incredible. It wasn't similar to a traditional eclair but was so great. The food and our waiter really turned the night around for us, not to mention the cosmos, old fashioned and really great spicy mocktails. Will be back soon!

Wow! Amazing service and the short rib and sea bass is highly recommended. So impressed with the servers. I like a more traditional speak easy with lower sounds and lighting, but the music for the atmosphere was good.

We loved the restaurant's atmosphere -- very cool -- and the menu. There are only a few places in SLC that have really creative and changing menus so we're so happy to have found Hide & Seek. We will definitely go there again.

Overall I loved it. Establishments get 5 stars when they go over and above. Give me something I didn't expect. Hide & Seek achieved this more than once. From the surprise Amuse Bouch to having the executive chef present the Candy Land Dessert offering, they nailed that part. Brian, the Bartender, and Greg our server were very friendly and knowledgeable, which I appreciate. They seemed genuinely happy to be there. #solidwork Food was good, but more what I expected for the price point. I would recommend the single bite Ravioli, perhaps the best thing of the night. Menu isn't huge and is seasonal, both are things I like. Focus and change it up, good call all around. We got the dessert sampler, it's $25 a person. We had 5 of us, ended up with 2-3 of everything. Next time I'll order for 1/2 the people, it was too much, like way too much. The Speakeasy part of it, it makes it fun. However, one of our party couldn't find it and was pretty upset. I get the allure of a speakeasy, but maybe give some indication where this is. I'm thinking Prohibition in Murray as an example.
