   Absolutely superb! Celebrated my birthday with friends but it’s definitely the spot to visit for all occasions! If you’re looking for delicious food with great service in a wonderful setting, you gotta try Hinata!

   My first omakase!! They were so welcoming and accommodating with dietary needs! My boyfriend and I went to celebrate Valentine’s Day and a year of us. Perfect place to spend a night for a special occasion. The chefs were perfectionists! The fish was so fresh and service was amazing! The experience was 10/10.

   Seats closer to the entrance were very cold. I planned to drink cold sake but the occasional wind and constant chill changed stopped me from doing so. Food was great, chef was friendly, great value for SF area. Uni was superb, but was not a fan of black truffle, which had weird aroma of locker room sweat. Rice got colder towards the middle of sushi course (likely due to the cold wind coming in) but chef changed to new rice. Netta were of high quality, especially Shima Aji. Will visit again but skip on supplements, maybe opting in for the uni trip instead.

   Wonderful omakase experience and not overpriced like many in the area! Didn’t want it to end! The Wagyu is to die for!

   This was my first time here as I live in Los Angeles. I had heard Hinata was excellent, but it turned out to be one of my favorite sushi restaurants of all time, including in comparison to the superb places in LA. The decor is beautiful, the sushi bar is elegant and roomy without any obstruction between you and the chefs, and the music was very quiet so conversation was easy. The service was amazing, and, most importantly, the food was sublime. What was shocking was how reasonable the pricing is in comparison to those higher echelon places in LA that charge almost twice as much.

   I go here at least once a year for my boyfriend’s birthday and sometimes for anniversary. Not sure we will be back again. The hostess was pretty dismissive about not wanting to “spicy” or “peppery” items on one of the people’s dishes. Although last time the hostess was fine with accommodating. This time she was basically disuading it by saying oh the wasabi isn’t that spicy. Then the one server was hard to understand because of her accent and the main server wasn’t very nice. Had to ask for water and ice and multiple times for straw. This time service was just not great at all. We also were a party of 5 but there were no other tables being serviced… so no excuse. Also the one cracker wagyu app was horrible. And the ice cream was weird with the pistachios on top. Also I reminded them before we say it was 2 birthdays and they didn’t include the candles, I had to tell the server again after they brought it out… Skip this place and go somewhere else.

   My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and it was a great experience. They were kind enough to give us a separate room (assuming for our anniversary) and it made the ambiance amazing. It felt very intimate which was nice and unexpected. My boyfriend ended up getting the supplement and the uni trio which he thoroughly enjoyed. The service was also outstanding, everyone was very kind and welcoming and on top of everything (i.e. gathering empty plates, refilling water, etc.). Overall it was a nice night with good food. It was very apparent each piece of nigiri was fresh, and most were also buttery where little chewing was needed. Recommend to try.

    Great experience, the Omakase service was very good. Definitely recommend adding on the Otoro and Waygu, they were amazing. Went for anniversary and they gave a us a special treat too!
