This was our second time dining here. The food and service are very good. The speciality cocktails a bit inconsistent from last time. The gentleman at the host/hostess desk SUPER unwelcoming and almost down right rude. He needs to learn to be a tad more welcoming and maybe try to smile.

Despite having reservations, originally sat us in the bar area. Upon request, they appropriately moved us to the main restaurant area. When ordering our dinner, server misheard our order. All was rectified after serving wrong orders. Finally, the check needed to be adjusted based on the wrong orders.

Hiramasa did not disappoint...my entire family was pleasantly surprised by all of the options on the menu as well as the ambience. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience celebrating my husband's birthday. We will be back!

Hiramasu: brand new to Newtown Square and a welcomed respite from the traditional bar food/bar culture that is popping up around an ever growing area. (Not diminishing Carmines, or Casey’s, LaScala or Sedona Taphouse) We love sushi and Teikoku has competition! Great food. The OMG Roll? The Crazy Tuna roll? Outstanding!! The special drinks were awesome but the Uduespresso Martini could have kept me there all damn day/night! Now, the three drunk dudes at the bar wasn’t a hit as they were loud and obnoxious but hey: minor inconvenience to an otherwise great night. I apologize for not pointing out the bartender by name. She was great but overwhelmed bc of the 3 Amigos who thought they were the funniest guys in town (hint: they weren’t!).

The decor was great, the food was outstanding, our service was good. Our waiter seemed to be a bit overwhelmed and we were left with a bunch of empty glassware and plates on our table that should have been cleared. But we will definitely come back. The cocktails are also fantastic. What a great addition to Delaware County.

Food was excellent. Large selection of sushi rolls, and the 4 that we shared were great. Did not try their entrees this time, but what we saw come out of the kitchen looked good. Great bar selection - lots of good Japanese whisky. The restaurant was packed, so it was quite loud. Otherwise, everything was really great. We will be back!
