Hochi Mama was the God Mother of all aspiring street artists and rappers in the early nineties. An immigrant in the big city, she hosted underground art shows along with rap battles for the rejects; a place where you could just be at home, but with family. The whole crew was always welcome, the more the merrier, and she was well renowned for creating innovative dishes using the original famous dishes from her home country, and plenty of booze, in her spacious and homey warehouse.

This cheeky, vibrant and buzzing Vietnamese Fusion venue is one for your to-do list. Boasting a killer menu and a super cool vibe, this place is known for a cocktail, feast or an intimate date night.

We loved everything about Hochi Mamma! The food was delicious, the service was really lovely & the place has a great ambience! We had the feed me special & there was plenty of food for the 2 of us!

Went here for a galentines dinner with my friend and we were both blown away with how yummy the food was! Absolutely obsessed with the king fish sashimi and crispy duck wontons. We got the feed me menu which was very reasonably priced and the mains were a good size. Cocktails were superb. Overall such a great experience, the staff were super friendly and accommodating, the food came out quickly and my taste buds will never be the same. Highly recommend.

Was very happy about the experience at Hochi Mama for my valentine date. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Not what it used to be. We found the service here to be pretty bad with rushing us and quite rude to be honest. We were the first sitting at 5pm and they were almost trying to wrap us up within 30 to 40 minutes, was a little unnecessary. The food lacked flavor and I took a big mouthful of duck fat in the red curry and it unfortunately put me off eating the rest of the food. Used to love coming here, very disappointed on this occasion.

I eat at the Richmond outlet a fair bit. I hadn't been to the city one for a long time. The staff were great fun and helpful. The food was the best I've had at either of the restaurants. The noise was a bit too much tbh. We couldn't hear across the table.

Food here is always amazing however, that’s pretty much the only highlight I had. I’ve been here numerous times and have always thoroughly enjoyed it, until my recent visit on the 8th of Feb. I was celebrating my 21st and prior to the booking I called and asked if there was a cakeage fee and was told there wasn’t. I show up with my cake and am told they use a 3rd party to answer their calls and there is actually a cakeage fee. Not impressed. They really like to push the time limit which is rather amusing considering we were waiting an extra 10 minutes for 1 of the entrees to arrive. Bit rich to say you need to leave in 1 hour 45 when the dishes aren’t even brought out at the same time. We were interrupted in the middle of eating out mains to be told we have to be gone in 30 minutes (we were 15 mins late however we still wouldve taken longer to finish eating) and even overheard the table next to us getting the rest of their mains cancelled as they hadn’t come in time and were also being told to wrap it up. Rather disappointing overall, this place used to be incredible
