Hojoko is a rock n roll izakaya honoring the pulse of Japanese nightlife by serving sushi, robata grilled yakitori and street food small plates paired with craft cocktails, premium sake, wine, and beer. Located directly behind historic Fenway Stadium and walking distance from The MGM Fenway and The House of Blues, Hojoko is the perfect stop before any event.

    We traveled to Boston and dined at Hojoko this time last year and we couldn’t wait to return. Dining here the second time was just as fantastic as the first. Our server last year was Joe and we hoped he was still here. He is now a manager and the role is perfect for him. He is so engaging and funny and we were so impressed that he distinctly remembered us after one year. My mom and I loved the crispy spare ribs, charred cauliflower, and brussels sprouts. My brother had the chopped salad and he added a salmon filet. We will have the wagyu cheeseburger next time. I recommend this restaurant without reservation.

    Good was amazing ! The server was great (I’m sorry I forgot his name) everything came at a good time ! I love that the food came out as soon as it was ready. I will be dreaming about the kimchi fries rice 😍

    Food was good! Everything’s pretty expensive, but that’s the norm for Boston. Atmosphere and service are great too

    Have been to Hojoko a few before but came in for the burgers as a reviewer call them Top 5 in Boston. Although solid, the burger was not life changing. More importantly, however, was the fact that one burger came out lightning fast while the other took almost 15 minutes. The poor server tried to apologize but honestly, we were not appeased. Tipped the requisite 20% but think this kind of screw up just should not happen. Great vibe in the place but we left sorely disappointed.

    This is not authentic. Flavors are strange. Staff is very kind and accommodating. Food is whack.

    Ridiculously delicious! Hip atmosphere with excellently prepared dishes showcasing a variety of Izakaya-style Japanese cuisine. The Lomo is not to be missed!!!
