Service started well but when had to ask for things from staff the female member took offence and was extremely unprofessional in making it very clear to all of us at the table that she didn’t like being asked (very politely) to provide things we were missing. A shame because the male staff members were really friendly and tried their best. The Holiday Inn need to train their staff in customer care. Shame because we couldn’t fault the food.

Fantastic family meal. The food was tasty, well presented and cooked well. The staff we so friendly and went out of their way to help. It really was refreshing to see such high standards in staff. Thanks and a huge well done to your team!

The restaurant is light and airy, clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and efficient, and dealt with our order quickly. There was a good choice on the menu, and the meals were very good. We encountered no problems at all.

A really nice meal good choice and really attentive service as one of our party were gluten free. No complaints and nice easy service ( no fussing) All in all a nice meal.

It seems that there isn’t much maturity there. Everyone young and inexperienced apart from 1 young guy who seemed apologetic over the situation and clearly should be made a manager of sorts as he could see what was wrong. The food took forever, the menu was poor, a barman absolutely stank as if he’d not washed in days and his clothes were all crumpled. The first waitress addressed me as if I was at McDonald’s. Food was almost cold. Pudding was good. The breakfast food was very good but totally overbooked. They need to get people to book slots if they are that full. It was suggested for me to sit in the bar away from the restaurant with 4 kids for breakfast so that I’d have to be walking up and down for food for 4 little kids throughout the hotel all morning. I got married there once and it was much better before. The hotel needs some older staff on duty, a manager wandering around and deal with the barman who absolutely reeked. Sadly, since it’s modernization I have never had good service here snd I’ve tried it 3 times since. The rooms were comfy though. Plus it isn’t overpriced. I suppose for a holiday inn it’s probably ok but it used to be so much better.

The food was faultless but the serving staff did not know much info about the services offered, the meal deals and drinks selections. They did not even realise that the save the planet pale ale was past its best before date. The duty manager dealt with any issues professionally and in a timely manner.

The lamb shank meal we had was just not VFM, the lamb shanks looked like they were from a supermarket, by vertu of their size. The plates were small to give the illusion of a larger meal. The price of drinks has also gone through the roof, so all in all not impressed.
