Holy Basil in Croydon Victoria has a very simple vision, to bring wholesome, delicious and exciting food to the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Our dream at Holy Basil was to create an exciting diner in the Eastern suburbs where people can relax, come together, have fun and enjoy proper homemade food in a very inclusive environment.
We are proud to deliver 100% vegan and Vegetarian options at Holy Basil, use free-range eggs and source only sustainably caught seafood as well as a range of other exciting meals with 95% of the menu being gluten free.
At Holy Basil we make our own curry pastes, sauces, desserts, chilli jam, and roti.
We happily use gluten free soy and 100% pure fish sauce.

We went for Valentine’s Day and on the table was a little note and 2 heart chocolates, a nice little thought. The food is fantastic, very generous serves. We both had Pad Thai, one prawn and one beef. The prawn dish had a very generous serving of prawns and the beef was juicy and tender. The roti was also terrific. The wait staff are lovely, moving around efficiently, quickly and quietly. We will definitely be back.

Managed to get in for a sit down meal after making a booking way ahead of time. Fresh tasting meals and attentive, friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back and trying the other dishes!

My partner and I dined here last night and it was amazing. The staff were attentive and so lovely, we requested for the dishes to be staggered out and they happily obliged. The star of dishes was the stirfry pork belly, paired with the coconut rice, it was delicious. Our other top pick would be the tamarin prawns, crispy and cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Even though we were blown away with the quality of the food, it is on the expensive side.
