   Horrible service. Horrible staff, racist manager with a horrible negative attitude. Negligent waiter, discrminatory racist atmosphere and this place needs to be removed and the entire staff needs to be fired. They acted like they never received my reservation and were difficult about seating the party I was with. This had happened on multiple occasions. I've never seen it experienced anything like this from any establishment. The racism is completely obvious and I've got BAD news for the owners of hopcat detroit, you've picked the wrong place for your business if you're going to have the audacity to do it up with racist workers. This is not going to turn out in your favor! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS PLACE!

   Awful. We had reservations at 6:15pm. We got there early. We did not eat until 8 PM. Not OK. The food was just OK barely all right. First time. Last time.

   We came here before the PWHL hockey game and they got us in and out in plenty of time

   Samantha, our server, is a delight. She remembered us from a prior visit, which, needless to say, makes us feel good. She is efficient, welcoming, friendly, and professional. The corned beef sandwich is very good, also.

   Our food came out extremely late causing us to make it to our comedy show late. However, the manger compensated and was very apologetic.

    I heard someone raving about the ‘Cosmik Fries’ so we decided to try HopCat. I did my research and saw that it’s best to make reservations beforehand. We made a 4 o’clock reservation, arrived at 3:50 and weren’t sat until 4:20 when I asked why 3 parties who arrived after us were sat before us. Our server came over and made zero eye contact & although she did nothing wrong she wasn’t exceptionally friendly or what I would expect a server to be from the upbeat atmosphere. The food was alright, lukewarm but tasted fine & the cosmik fries were nothing to brag about or even want again. The bill was a comfortable price, what I would expect to pay for dinner. The server brought us $1 less than what our change should have been, which I assumed an honest mistake so I didn’t mention it & still left an 18% tip. All in all, it wasn’t so bad we regret it or want a refund but bad enough we won’t ever go back. Large parties and people who are drinking are prioritized over smaller families having casual dinner. The host and servers seemed overwhelmed and pulled in multiple directions, I’m an understanding person & I don’t believe we were intentionally forgotten or mistreated but every customers experience counts in hospitality and this is my honest review and experience at this restaurant.
