Opened on December 13, 2014 (yes, 12/13/14!) in a historic building at the corner of Woodward and Canfield. The Huma Room on the second floor features half of a black 1973 Cadillac Fleetwood mounted behind the wall and an outdoor patio. Located on Woodward Ave, it's easy to jump on the QLine or walk down to Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, or Ford Field.

HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options.

We live the craft lifestyle - beer, cocktails and even craft food made from scratch. With a dedication to local breweries, sustainability and community engagement, HopCat offers craft beer and great food in a vibrant atmosphere for an inclusive, unforgettable experience.

We were in just to have dinner on a Saturday night. Server was great. Food was well prepared. Beer was delicious. Hop Cat was as good as ever.

The dinner I had at hopcat was absolutely delicious. I had the turkey pesto grilled cheese and a cup of tomato basil soup. I can’t wait to go back. I waited a reasonable amount of time to get my food and the service was great.

After waiting for 30 minutes after placing our order and having asked our server a couple times for an update, seeing others get their food that ordered after us, I asked for a manager. No manager ever came. After another 15 minutes and 3Xs being told food will be up in a couple moments and no food we decided to leave. Very disappointed as we had heard such great things about the place. I was very surprised that no ne seemed to care we were not getting our food and certainly did not seem to care we we leaving.

Went to a Thursday night Red Wings game and stopped for dinner before hand. Made a reservation so we didn’t have to wait for a table. Service was fast. Drinks were great. The nachos were so bomb. Definitely our fave spot to stop for dinner & brunch too!

We had a fabulous lunch at HOPCAT on Saturday Oct. 19th. The team did a great job from setting up the reservation to having the table ready upon arrival and getting us in and out in a timely manner. thank you to their team for working with me on the lunch for 10 guests.
