Join us at HoQ to welcome in the New Year with a special four-course menu for $89 per person. Optional wine pairings will be available for $40 per person. This will be the only menu offered this evening. Reservations are highly recommended, and payment is due at the restaurant that evening. There will be a credit card hold required by OpenTable to secure your table, and HoQ will charge a $89 per person cancellation fee for any no shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the event. Overall very good, my only complaint was the waiter called my girlfriend and I ladies He saw me before and noticed I had a beard. I overlooked this but he brought my food to her side and vice versa, not a big deal, but small details make a difference We will go back

We really enjoyed our dinner at HoQ. We had a pre-dinner cocktail at the cute little lounge that is connected to the restaurant. Our bartender was top-notch and the little bite that comes with each cocktail was a fun surprise. I had the Mediterranean bowl with the best falafel I’ve ever had. Also, amazing flavors! Added the tandoori chicken, which wasn’t great - pretty dry. My dining companion had the burrito, which was excellent. Highly recommend.

It's been awhile since we've been to Hoq, but we were looking for a place to go during Des Moines Restaurant Week and decided to go back and we were excited to revisit the spot we had enjoyed in the past. We were underwhelmed by the menu offered for Restaurant Week, which included a very small appetizer (3 2 oz shots of soup), a smaller than average entree and a shared dessert. We definitely could have received a better value by ordering off the menu and spent less money, but felt like trying one of the Restaurant Week features was the thing to do. The food was good and we will go back but just felt this visit was lacking.
