My boyfriend and I went expecting very nice fine dining for Valentine’s Day. When we walked in there was nobody to seat us and we had to stop a frantic waitress and let her know we’re here for our reservation. The dinner was in a large event hall with about 10 tables on each side of a dance floor, far from elegant. After waiting about 15 min for someone to take our drink order and nobody coming, he decided to go to the bathroom. Our waitress Lindsay asked what I’d like to drink while he was gone and then had to come again when he came back. The first entree was a singular scallop which was honestly the best thing we received. None of the meals came hot or were even remotely to the expectations we had planned. At one point a waitress had brought us our next entree but we still had the last one sitting in front of us so we all just looked at each other until we traded her the plate in front of us for the new one. For my second drink I asked for the HF margarita and our waitress Lindsay rudely let me know that the drinks on that menu aren’t offered tonight. There was a spicy margarita on the event menu but instead of her offering to make a marg similar to the one I asked for since they obviously have the ingredients, the answer was a straight cut no, so I got something else. For the main course, my bf ordered the seafood trio except his meal was actually just a plate of salmon and potatoes. No shrimp & no halibut so not much of a trio. After watching everyone receive a rose at the end of the night with the check, I did not receive a rose. The bill was $350, an ungodly amount for a bad time. We figured after our sad meals and bad service, the tip shouldn’t be more than what a normal restaurant meal would’ve been. While leaving, Lindsay stopped us basically asking why we didn’t tip her more. It was an embarrassing scene that really put the cherry on the cake. Nearly $400 later we’re angry & unsatisfied.
