Hostaria OsottoOsopra was born from a fortuitous meeting, between the streets of Venice.
With a coffee and a chat, the dream of opening a restaurant with friends seemed to really take shape for the first time.
In August 2017, those that were initially only ideas are transformed into reality, within the walls of a former pub in Calle San Pantalon, a stone's throw from Campo Santa Margherita.It would not make sense to open yet another tourist place in Venice, only to then get confused among the many restaurants around the city.
No, Hostaria OsottoOsopra was supposed to be something different.
It had to be a place to feel at home, where eating well in Venice became possible at a reasonable price and where the service, always in the hand but always elegant, made me want to come back.
At the opening, Hosteria OsottoOsopra looked like this: with the atmosphere of a typical Venetian hostaria, but from the almost gourmet kitchen.

                        Perfection! Each course was beautifully executed, and the wine list was excellent. It was difficult to not go back for every meal. We look forward to next trip and referring others!

                        Had a great experience. The food was delicious, especially the artichoke, and the service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual evening. I highly recommend it!

                        We had a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner! The food, service, and ambiance were all amazing. Kirin and the other servers made our experience exceptional by explaining all the dishes, being friendly and attentive at the table, and anticipating our every need. I highly recommend this restaurant!

                        Osottoosopra is well worth the adventure of winding your way through narrow alleys, across dark bridges and through piazzas with lively night time scenes. When you finally reach the intimate restaurants you are in for a treat. A creamy ricotta filled ravioli, the best rendition of paccheri with duck we’ve had in Venice, an incredible slow cooked beef. A very limited selection of wines by the glass. Great, friendly service. Here’s a tip: ask them to call you a water taxi to get you back home.

                        Fabulous dinning experience overall. The team honors my personal table preference. Good school decor. Excellent food. It’s a very busy establishment so waiting service is not as attentive as it could be, which is understandable. Will return and will recommend.
